Great location

Great location, very easy to find and right near the train station to reach other parts of Italy or the airport bus. The staff were always very friendly and the hotel was secure - room was more spacious than I thought it would be.

Clean and comfortable for a short stay.

3 minute walk from the train station. Clean with tea and coffee making facilities in our room. Good bathroom. Situated next door to a nice bakery and restaurant. Nice reception staff on duty until 10pm. Good aircon.

Straightforwards hotel excellent for travellers

This hotel did its job really well - it’s super close to the central station and was clean and quiet. It’s not a luxury hotel but check in was speedy and the staff were great.

There’s a fringe curtain hanging over the recess for luggage/fridge/safe which, while I get the aesthetics of, was extremely annoying when trying to get into any of those things!

I can’t recommend this hotel The cleaners definitely have done their bit, but the place would need painted and curtains need laundered. The smell of air fresheners were overwhelming. Breakfast felt heavily policed and as a family of 5 we were told we couldn’t sit at a table for 5 and had to take 2 tables for four and one person was made to sit on their own.. not ideal as we our a family and f 5

Very close to the train station and the city center. Ideal for short stays (city trips, as a stop between longer distance travels by train/ferry).

Official breakfast not before 07:30 possible, but they can give you some breakfast snack if you have to leave the hotel earlier in the morning.

hotel was very central and spotlessly clean

some of the staff were a little intimidating, all cleaning staff were lovely but some reception and one breakfast room lady weren't helpful or friendly. We upgraded to a superior room and were disappointed as the room was really small (big bathroom apparently made it superior) with very little natural light.

Needs improvement

We picked the hotel as we were using trains and it is very near the station. The hotel is in an old building so was quirky which was ok.

Room was ok but no mirror, only one was in bathroom. Carpet needs a deep clean. I'm 6ft and barely fitted in the shower, anyone taller will struggle. The one really bad thing is the breakfast. No hot food, No fruit, two choices of cereal, both muesli based, no cornflakes or any children's cereals. Staff in the breakfast room not in the least bit helpful, surly. Staff overall not really bothered. Hotel is manned from 7a.m till 10 p.m however we noticed several times on our two night stay that there were no staff there at other times, spotted them having a smoke break round the corner. So all in all would not recommend.

5 minutes walk from train station and also an easy walk to the old part of the city, secure, efficient staff. Very clean everywhere (apart from carpet in places). Good value for money.

Comfortable hotel in convenient location for visitors arriving by train

Very comfortable room, very comfortable bed. Lovely big window overlooking via Balbi. Mini refrigerator was convenient. The location is very close to the train station, and is a flat walk with no stairs, so it is easy to transport luggage. The Palazzo Reale is a short walk on the same street. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and 2 supermarkets within a 5-10 minute walk. It is possible to walk to the Strada Nuova palaces on Via Garibaldi and to the seafront / Galata Museo del Mare. Most of the hotel rooms are on the first floor of the building, with only 1 flight of stairs to climb. There are a few rooms on the second floor (with another flight of stairs to climb).

There is nothing I would change, given the price charged for the room.

Fantastic Location to Explore the Riviera from!

The location was perfect for me as I was using the trains and the station was a very short walk away. The shared areas such as the reception room and breakfast areas were very nicely presented. The breakfast itself was great with a choice of pastries, meats and good coffee. The room was a nice size and the bathroom looked modern and was all clean.

The worst part was the shower as it was a rainfall head, which I love, but it was impossible to regulate the temperature. This meant I had no choice but to step out of the shower itself multiple times when the temperature got unbearably hot. Aside from this I found the bed quite uncomfortable as I could feel all the springs in the mattress. The decor and fit & finish of the room was quite poor also. It could use a coat of paint and some more furniture like a headboard or a proper wardrobe.

Great place and great value…

Very clean place. Beds were comfortable. Everything needed is there. Staff are exceptionally accommodating and kind. The location, only minutes away from the intercity train station, and close to the best of Genoa, could not be better.
