Mercure Milton Keynes Hotel

Easy parking, very friendly staff, clean room, very comfy bed.

Receptionist was very helpful when checking in. Did request early check in , due to getting ready for a wedding. She managed to find one. Lovely lady.

Unfortunately the room we booked wasn't the one we had. Was very concerned about falling out the tall bed, as its seems it was a small double. Had to get out of bed to turn off the side light as to far away. Very bobbly sheet. Had to sleep on the mattresses protector.

Lipstick mark on glass in the bathroom, not enough tea bags,milk or coffee left in the room.

Parking was free and plentiful, which is good. The room was pleasant enough, the bed was comfy to sleep in and wifi was good. Breakfast buffet was good. Staff on the reception were really nice. The windows opened which was good.

We were overlooking an outside seating area that was lit up like a Christmas tree all night and had music blaring out until quite late, even when no one was out there. This was really unpleasant as we were working all weekend at the shopping centre and wanted peace and quiet when we finished work. We had evening meal on the one night and it was very disappointing. The food took about half an hour to arrive, after a ten min wait we were told one of the meals was unavailable and had to wait longer while another was cooked. It was over priced and not very good. No water was supplied with the meal and the evening waiting staff were very inattentive. Small thing; but the room was badly designed with a huge chair in a strange place and an extraordinarily high bed you couldn't comfortably sit on.
