Pousada Castelo is special. It is this hidden romantic gem of a hotel within the walls of the castle, perched on top a hill with magnificent views both south towards Setubal and north towards Lisbon. We enjoyed our stay and regretted not booking for longer.

It was beautiful in fabulous location. Clean and surprisingly comfortable. Dinner was superb with a good choice
The staff could have been slightly friendlier, there seemed to be very few so slight wait at the bar etc would still recommend and return!

The unique setting. The views! The freedom to wander the grounds of the castle and the church. Peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was good and had a nice variety. The staff was all very nice and helpful.
Condition concerns but nothing too serious.

Great position lovely quiet room comfortable bed
Poor service food very mediocre
No atmosphere the whole place was a bit tired staff didn’t seem to care probably more geared up for weddings and events
