Great location, but cleanliness, room condition and food quality were far below expectations.

The only positive aspect was the location, as it is conveniently close to the NEC.

The overall cleanliness and condition of the room were disappointing. The bathroom sink area had visible hair and dust upon arrival. I had to wipe down multiple surfaces in the room myself as they were dusty and not properly cleaned. The sofa had visible stains. The furniture throughout the room was heavily worn, scratched and marked, giving the room a very tired and neglected appearance. The room service food was also poor value for money. The sirloin steak portion was very small for the price, and the pizza was extremely dry and hard, as if it had been reheated multiple times. The total cost of £49.30 did not reflect the quality delivered. This experience does not meet the expected standard of a Crowne Plaza property.

Great location but showing its age and very expensive.

The location for the NEC is great and the staff are fantastic.

The rooms are run down with damage all around, the price was extremely high £185 for 1 night. The ice machine being next to the room kept us up late with an early start planned the next day too.

A fabulous hotel, a spacious room and within easy walking distance of the BP Pulse

Lovely hotel, perfect location for the BP Pulse, Resorts World and NEC, staff were exceptional and very helpful, there were no available disabled spaces available directly outside the hotel but they were very accommodating and found us a suitable place to park and waivered the parking charge, bonus to have an ice machine right outside our bedroom door and a complementary drink as it was Valentines Day

The view from our room wasn't great but we didn't ask for a room with a view, our room was too hot for us (26 degrees) but during our 2 night stay we couldn't work out how to turn it down, we did ask at reception on the second night and someone said they would go up to our room but the temperature remained the same throughout our stay.

No actual wheelchair access to the NEC. The supposed wheelchair path crosses tree roots/grass Restaurant prices. Paid 9 quid for hardly a single serving of chicken strips Paid for room with double bed and sofa bed and was given the wrong room originally No communication about there being a 50 GBP deposit until it was withdrawn from my account

Great Staff service and attitude

Service from the staff was both highly efficient and very friendly. Food offer was very appropriate for the hotel and well served and presented. Pleasantly informal and sociable environment for eating. Check in and out very efficient.

Had an un refurbished room which was clean but a little tired. I appreciate there is a premium to stay on site at the NEC but it represents only average value.

Holidays start at CROWN PLAZA

Each time we holiday we stay in CROWN PLAZA when flying from bhx. The hotel is perfect and we leave our vehicle parked safely in the grounds, ready for our return .

The snow when we returned. Obviously not the hotels fault 🙄

Beautiful place, pleasant staff, just needs improving on cleaning

Beautiful hotel , great staff .

I think staff need to handover to each other once shift is closed. Because I was being asked why I was still In the hotel , when I requested late check the night before . Also I almost got charged twice for the deposit. The cleaninless is decent. Unfortunately our room was full of dust, especially under the bed and I have asthma.

Great hotel for the NEC .

Staff are very helpful. Room was spotless, comfortable bed, everything we needed was attended promptly ( like more towels and pillows). Location is perfect for NEC conference. Easy free parking. Breakfast was great, all was fresh and tay. Big verity, and all with a smile .

Pleasant hotel when you get there!

The staff was excellent as was the breakfast. Loved the on line check in and the coffee facilities in the room.

You market yourself as an airport hotel but we had to walk more than a mile with suitcases and when we phone to query what we could do we were told there was no courtesy bus! Also the room furniture was dated and had seen better days.

Great hotel, watch the cost.

Location for the complex is great, food and entertainment on your doorstep. the NEC is a 7 minute walk. The room was excellent, the rest of the hotel is exceptional.

Wasn’t comfortable and very loud in the morning and staff were not very helpful.

We asked for a travel cot and then when we arrived the wasn’t one ready in the room. Then we went down to reception early hours of the morning as it was our wedding night So then they brought one up but never provided any sheets for the baby!

The location was excellent — within walking distance of the NEC, shops, restaurants, and the train station.

I was not pleased with the access route located at the back of the hotel, which leads to and from the shopping and cinema area. As someone with limited mobility, I found it difficult to use, especially since the area was dark and it was raining. Guests are not permitted to pass through the restaurant on the ground floor, so it was necessary to go up several stairs from the back of the bar, which made access even more challenging. Unfortunately, this aspect of the stay detracted from the overall experience.

Staff absolutely brilliant thank you

The Staff our absolutely amazing polite considerate extremely helpful, especially Romania in the dining room and Diamanté both were exceptional and the two lovely Indian ladies that served us also in the dining room area were equally outstanding!!

The room was tired, dilapidated, worn and unpleasant, the decor had been over worn was in a sorry state the bathroom in particular was terrible, how sad as a refurb could have made it very luxurious, you couldn't fault the cleanliness but I felt sorry for the house keeping staff as it is difficult to maintain a standard when the are is chipped scuffed and in desperate need of replacement.
