Bowood Park Hotel

We had a really large, light, airy room, breakfast was very good, this was included in our stay. The views were lovely, a very well kept golf course, but we aren’t golfers but felt very welcome. Staff were lovely couldn’t fault it. Possibly one thing, the towels were tired!

The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and the food overall was quite good.

It does say on the website that there is an à la carte menu for breakfast. But there was only a buffet service and it would have been nicer to have had the option of an omelette rather than just a fry up. But my biggest complaint would be that there is no air conditioning. In addition they have no decent toiletries. The shampoo and shower gel all in sachets and this can be tricky to manage.

I had a very pleasant stay at Bowood Park Hotel in Camelford. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the surrounding area is beautiful, with plenty of green spaces that make it very relaxing. There is ample parking available, which made the stay even more convenient. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything needed. The location is excellent, especially if you want to explore Cornwall and nearby areas such as Tintagel Castle and other scenic spots. It is a great base for visiting some of the most beautiful places in the region. Breakfast was very good, and the view from the restaurant is lovely, adding to the overall experience. The bedroom was spacious, and the bathroom was also large and comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it.

Room and view

Having to mix with rowdy golfers in the bar and restaurant. We thought it was a big hotel complex with a golf course, similar to other venues we have stayed at in the UK and Ireland. It turned out to be a golf complex with rooms, similar to restaurants with rooms, where the dominant provision is the restaurant. The dominant provision here was the golf club, and we would not have chosen this venue if it had been described as “ A Golf Club With Rooms “.
