We needed a post-Christmas wind-down and this was it.

The breakfast was outstanding, with great service. A great range of fruit and cereal, excellent hot breakfast cooked to order and table service for drinks and toast. That's what we like. The hotel's location is beautiful with views of the river and waterbirds, with outdoor spaces to just wrap up warm, sit out and relax. Our family, including little children, were made very welcome for an afternoon tea or just for a coffee.

We were making memories with Mum who has terminal cancer. It was perfect.

Breakfast had such a choice of options. Once you ordered the food arrived hot and quickly. The apartments are well equipped for having family time. We ordered room service on Saturday night and it arrived hot and well prepared.

A beautiful hotel with delicious food , and lovely dining experience. All the staff team members are fabulous and they are always so friendly and welcoming. I really appreciate that they accommodate individuals needs, i was able to choose from a good range of meals which were gluten and milk free. Thank you so much!

Fantastic place to stay

Hotel was lovely, fantastic location and fantastic staff. We had booked my elderly father in law into a mini suite with his carer, to enable a visit to family nearby. The accommodation worked perfectly with the two bedrooms a perfect solution for them. The staff could not have been more helpful to make his stay comfortable and he even had access to a wheelchair. Despite terrible weather he thoroughly enjoyed his stay and would love to return.

was a great stay in the hotel , a few minor faults , thought overall was expensive for what we had

we thought the location was excellent, staff very attentive and friendly, the room was very comfortable and clean

the room we stayed in was a bit tired as in the furniture, there was no mini fridge which i was really surprised about I've never experienced this before in a Hotel i think this should be standard,. when flushing the toilet you had to keep your hand on the button until it flushed not very good quality. very basic spa facilities. we used the restaurant on the 1st Evening as it was my partners birthday , he did asked for well done fillet steak but ended up with a rare and bloody plate which very off putting for the rest of the meal, we did advise the Staff who were very apologetic

One to be visited again!

Location - amazing Room - light, bright with fabulous floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the river outside. Large room with seats which could be moved easily, loads of drawer and cupboard space, water, tea and coffee, tv and aircon. Great bar and lounge area with outside seating. Very pleasant staff friendly and smiling.

The only thing I would add would be a refrigerator in the bedroom. And maybe a little more space between tables in the restaurant. Breakfast very tasty although not as much choice as some. There was an evening party while we stayed which could be heard upstairs in the rooms. However the music stopped at 10.30pm which was good.

We have stayed here several occasions and it’s so nice to return again. The staff are warm and welcoming, amazing location, delicious food! We love to sit on the terrace with a nice cold glass of wine and watch the world go by!! Looking forward to our next visit!

Enjoyable stay!

Property is in a good location, vista is lovely. Room is good overall. James in reception is really good. Other reception staff good too very helpful! Breakfast is good.

Waiting staff not managed well. Not proactive to serve and upsell drinks when empty glasses on table. Slow service- impression is that staff don’t want to take orders prefer you to go to the bar.

Great Stay on the River and Close to the Town

Great location right on the river - lots to watch so be sure to have a river view. Frequent water taxi across the river and timetabled larger water taxi to Christchurch Quay and Mudeford Sandbank (where the 500 or so beach huts are located!) Parking easy and free as a spot is reserved for you. Good English Breakfast and great choice of seasonal fruits - a real joy! Good cappuccino. Nice indoor and outside public areas. Single Double Apartment with River view lovely and spacious with good facilities, although note that the Single can get hot as there are no windows (but there is a large ‘porthole’ in the ceiling). Tower fans provided throughout and effective AC in the lounge.

Terrible sporadic wifi all over the hotel - would expect a lot better for a 4* hotel and the amount charged. Awful Minute Steak and Egg breakfast; looked and tasted like the steak has been boiled. Spa very small and really only consists of a giant, boiling hot jacuzzi.

Amazing hotel, great service & atmosphere👏

Our second time staying at the hotel, a big reason we returned is the warm, inviting atmosphere of all the staff, & the buzzy atmosphere throughout the hotel. The pool/sauna is relatively small but perfectly sufficient. We ate in the restaurant one night, & the food was superb, as was the service. Will definitely return.

Lovely but expensive hotel let down by housekeeping

Great view from room; lovely looking restaurant for breakfast; buzzing bar area; small but nice spa; reserved parking

Although an expensive stay - everything was great except housekeeping - our room wasn't properly serviced & consumables not replaced. Additionally they left trolleys, linens, hoovers etc in the corridor which gave an impression of untidiness. Lastly, every time we saw any of the housekeeping team on our floor they tended to be congregated, chatting to each other. Would expect higher standards when paying £400+ for a room.
