Great location, lovely bar.
Breakfast on first day was a bit of a fail. Had to go back to staff and ask for butter for toast that was barely toasted, no offer of sauces with the full English, no taking away of used plates and expected to make space ourselves, this was the same young member of staff for all issues. Seemed more interested in chatting with other staff. The wife’s scrambled eggs did not look very appealing. This was a shame.

The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a lovely cosy hotel/bar. Lots of people came to drink inthe bar area with its comfy armchairs. The food was excellent. We ate both breakfast and dinner. Lovely homemade porridge in tbe morning with nuts and chia seeds. My partner had a full English. Both delicious.
Decor is tasteful....the hotel looks like it's has a re ent refurb.
Nothing.

Location excellent, great breakfast, very good restaurant, bar has good selection of beverages. Building has great character.
Bathroom on small size, tight fit through shower door (would be difficult to access for a larger person)

Been here for multiple times already; parking space directly behind is tighy and limited; but a but further on 1 minute walk also behind the Hotel there is plenty of parking space on public parking; cheap parking. Food choice in restaurant/pub is limited but good value for money. Breakfast is good. Rooms are clean and comfortable; typically English Pub/hotel. In village center on walking distance plenty of shops and small restaurants. Friendly Staff / Good WiFi / nice Pub.

Room clean, cozy and quiet with very comfortable bed and modern bathroom.
Dinner: Great choice and delicious
Breakfast excellent traditional breakfast choices, but also some lovely alternatives.
Hotel reserved a EV charging space for us and we were able to charge the car ready for the next day - super!
We liked it all!

Really nice place, plenty of character, excellent restaurant and exceptionally helpful and nice staff. If you like live music, The Kings Head is right next to the Corn Exchange that they also own which has a micro brewery inside. Everything you could need for a great break and Ross on Wye is very pretty too with some excellent independent shops.
Nothing - all 100% good.

Everything! The hotel was brilliant, had lots of character, perfect location, fabulous food, and the staff were amazing, right up to last thing at night and bright and cheerful for the breakfast shift in the morning. We will be back!

The number of stairs and the breakfast staff didn't seem to be particularly engaged with the customer

Excellent location. Lovely staff.
Rooms a bit cool, duvets not great.
5.0 / 10.0
The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable and I liked the Arran products in the bathroom
There were too many minor problems that made my stay uncomfortable: broken light, tv issues, no worthwhile Internet, radiator valve not turning, small and dirty windows which made the room very dark. My room wasn't serviced and I was left with towels on the floor no drinking water and dirty glasses. Avoid room 19

In the heart of Ross on Wye, evening meal lovely, really good breakfast. Room clean, comfortable and staff really lovely and friendly.
Not a dislike, as we were ok, but people with disabilities/poor mobility watch for upstairs rooms, as stairs winding and old - making cases difficult.

Fantastic all-round hospitality!
Large, comfortable and clean room, perfect for the dog.
Delicious food, both at breakfast and dinner.
Well-patronized bar with comfortable seating and now its own brewery.
Friendly and very efficient staff.
Can't think of anything worth mentioning!

Bar area was good
Very narrow entrance to car park and ended up scrapping the side of the car. Ballard in the way of an already narrow entrance.

A really lovely in spoiled coaching hotel with winding staircases charm and original features.
Food was top notch, extremely helpful staff and fantastic service.
Car parking on site and we were also able to take our small terrier.
Nothing negative from our perspective, but stairs only no lifts so if you had limited mobility this wouldn’t be ideal.

The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble and helped to create a great atmosphere .

This was our second stay at the kings head and we have enjoyed it both times. Lovely building, staff are friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and had no problem getting a parking space in the carpark. Very nice breakfast. Nice relaxing bar areas.
Personally I could not fault anything.

Breakfast was okay but it could do with sum fried bread. The hotel staff were great polite and friendly. The building was a bit old a1nd 1 creaky but but what would you expect it was built in the 14th century.
The stairs were not good winding and narrow.

Staff were lovely, food and beers great, location Ideal
Car park a bit tricky (it is what it is, nobody's fault) and central heating seemed to come on at random times so room hot at night but cold late afternoon/evening

Breakfast's excellent; room typical of old building; outlook- pretty grim - just a couple of metres from adjoining building;
ate in three nights out of four, but one meal (pies) particularly disappointing; location was good, but noisy; staff friendly and helpful especially Magdelana
Entrance foyer to hotel very dark and un-appealing. Did not seem at all welcoming.
