Stylish hotel close to airport and downtown Brussels by train

If you want to avoid city center prices and are willing to walk 10min to the train station that takes you to both downtown Brussels (18min) and the airport (even closer), this is a good place. Nice bathroom with big shower. Stylish.

Somewhat tiny room. The position of the AC right next to the bed is suboptimal when it needs to run on full throttle.

I had a very stay, enjoyed the food as well .

The bathroom has no body lotion. As I was transiting could not go through the security check with some of my toiletries. Left with very dry skin.

A convenient but unimaginative and overpriced location near to the convention I attended.

Quit room, comfortable bed

Check-in: took ages, only one check-in staff to attend. Check-in staff required guests to fill in their own details (again!) in a counter mounted screen. Room: doggy shower thermostat gave no hot water at first. Was working better but not fixed the following day. Shower lights were not working so bathroom was very dark. Parking at the hotel was good and available. There were however unexpected charges for parking, this was not clear from the booking web site. The restaurant served a limited menu of overpriced and non imaginative food. The hotel is located away from a twin centre and does not have a great choice of restaurants within walking distance.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel, during which I encountered numerous issues that significantly impacted my experience. I hope you will address these concerns to prevent future guests from facing similar problems. **Room Issues** - Air Conditioning: Out of order throughout my stay. - Electrical Outlets: Broken or without power, making it impossible to charge devices. - Bed Cleanliness: Hair found on the bedding. Strange objects (sausages) were discovered near the headboard. - TV: Not functioning. **Reservation & Logistics Problems** - Incorrect Bed Type: I booked a room with a double bed but was initially given a room with twin beds. After multiple trips back and forth, I was reassigned, yet I was told no other rooms with a double bed were available—a confusing and frustrating situation. **Overall Hotel Condition** - Poor Cleanliness: Hallways were dirty, carpets stained, and walls damaged. This raised concerns about overall maintenance and room hygiene. - Lack of Maintenance: Clear neglect in repairs and cleaning standards. The Penta Hotel seems to have declined in quality, which is especially disappointing as this was not my first stay here. **Service Concerns** - Self-Check-In System: The new automated process was inconvenient, particularly for a late-night arrival (1 AM). Guests should not have to perform receptionist duties. - Language Barrier: Morning staff spoke neither French nor Dutch, limiting communication to English only. - Positive Note: The night receptionist was helpful and friendly, and the complimentary lemonade in the hallway was a nice touch. **Conclusion** These issues reflect a troubling decline in standards. Rude staff, dirty premises and no regard for booking preferences.

Close to the airport

Despite clearly requesting a double bed, I was assigned a twin room. My request was completely ignored. I was given a twin room instead, and when I raised the issue with staff, I was met with rude, unprofessional, and frankly bigoted responses.... "Why can't you go and push the beds together?" I was told 😒 . I ended up sleeping on a single bed after paying for a double... I was too tired to think of going elsewhere. Even more frustratingly, I heard them offering later-arriving guests the option to choose between a twin or double, which confirms my situation could have been resolved but was simply dismissed without care. The corridors were dirty, uninviting and poorly kept with cutlery left out for hours. The price of the stay in no way reflects the quality or service [or lack of it]. This was a deeply disappointing experience, and I would advise others to look elsewhere.

Cosy stay with a nice gym and breakfast

The design and the atmosphere in the whole hotel and the hotel room itself were very nice. The breakfast was above our expectations, a lot too choose and tasted well. And the gym was very nice to have and it was very big. Because we were here for sports competition, ghis helped with the preperations very nicely.

It was not as clean as other hotel rooms, but not too disturbing. The parking was expensive, but we could have chosen to park outside the hotel area for free. The pillows were very soft, just like air.

It was fine for one night, it's pretty close to the airport.

Looks like a hookers club, if you turn on the tv, the first thing you see is a whole scala of p*rn and adult movies... It was really weird.

It’s abit far out with not much around . Small menu options. Which is a shame as many using Uber eats which we thought was a loss for the hotel . Rooms were very hot , beds and pillows not comfy . A fridge in the rooms would be ideal with having to buy food else where

located close the airport, has nice features like a pool table and a gym. a filtered water available at the entrance to refill your bottle is an added bonus

it looked and felt dirty, the hotel, including the room had a very unpleasant smell of body odour mixed with stale alcohol. rooms have a general unkept appearance, some broken items (plug socket, curtains, mould in the shower, stained bedding) the sound proofing in the rooms is quite poor. in the morning there was no hot water in the shower.
