Villa Cala Bona

De rust, het heerlijke grote zwembad, de mooie tuin, groot huis en grote slaapkamers, veel bergruimte en mooie details in het huis, wat een enorm oppervlakte! Alles was aanwezig, zelfs grote handdoeken voor bij het zwembad, zwembad werd tussentijds schoongemaakt, de pingpong tafel was een hit, een wasmachine was fijn,dichtbij supermarktjes en boulevard. Elke ochtend een loopje naar de Spar om de hoek voor verse croissantjes, fietsverhuur om de hoek, goede communicatie met het contactpersoon. We hebben genoten ❤️

Great location, in the most beautiful house, full of rustic charm, great artwork and well equipped. We had an amazing stay here and the pool was great and well maintained. We were worried about it not being heated but it was the perfect refresh from the sun. The villa is so private, in a really nice neighbourhood with a cut through to the sea front just outside the door. As you can see from the pictures, the gardens are something special and like its own mini paradise.

As others have mentioned, there is a problem with mosquitos - we got bitten quite a lot and stayed in a hotel for three days after without getting bitten at all. There is a (huge) pond in the lower garden that is stagnant and attracts bugs. At one point, you can see it had a water feature flowing to it, but this isn't working/turned on. I'm not sure why the owners don't just drain it and turn it into a different feature to alleviate this issue. It was also 35 degrees plus while we stayed and the lack of air conditioning made us dread going to bed as we couldn't sleep. We moved from the main bedrooms to downstairs, but it didn't really help, even with every fan in the house directly on us. I would 100% return here if they just put aircon into the bedrooms (doesn't have to be the rest of the house), as overall, it is a very special place.

The location is brilliant and the main reason we booked it. Near to bars, shops, and the sea. It was huge and very private. The pool was very good and was cleaned while we were there. We spent a lot of time in it and it so nice being able to swim in the evening. The gardens are massive and we didn’t even use the other side where the pond was. There were more mosquitos that side too and I personally think it would be better without the pond. There was a decent ping pong table too. I liked having the laundry room, which is located outside near the shower room off the kitchen. There are some unusual items around the house. My grandchildren enjoyed playing the piano. It is pretty much just as all the photos and videos show online.

Although the property is lovely, it is a little bit rough around the edges but this didn’t stop us having a fantastic time. There are four fans, one in each bedroom which we moved about the house as needed. Maybe a couple of fans downstairs would be useful. Apart from the lights actually in the pool and a light on the patio, there are no lights at all in the garden, so nothing near the bbq and nothing around the pool.
