El Nido was a dream. A sweet old adobe with oodles of charm. The heat was on the fritz when we arrived, yet the host company had someone over to fix it and manage the problem within an hour. Brilliant.

The location was very good as our primary activity was to attend 5 evenings of opera and being 4 miles away was so nice. It was also easy to get to Santa Fe. The facility was the cleanest Place I've stayed; had to move a big chair to retrieve somet5dropped behind & the floor under it was clean. Good quality towels and paper products. We didn't cook at all and kitchen appeared very well stocked for cooking. Extremely quiet area so nice & peaceful. Two restaurants very close by were both very good.
The creaky bedroom floor and lack of air conditioning. Even with all the windows and doors open at night and fan going the inside temp was never below mid-70s and it was unpleasant to wake up soaking wet with perspiration each night. The house was difficult to find at first as the number was very small. The directions provided made more sense after finding it.

The side patio off the kitchen needs a hot tub! That would make this place the best ever!

The design
Far away, we had to drive 30 more minutes to take the keys. For $500 we should have at least a bottle of water. On Booking.com it was stated check out is noon, on the leaflet of the property it was 10 am.
