A fully functional apartment with a kitchen, washing machine, and everything you can expect. A parking place for the guests, another spot for a visitor. Cleanliness. All this makes it an excellent alternative to a hotel. An ideal place for a couple or a small family for a city break or a short vacation, next to the Atlantic ocean, with beach access, and very close to the historic center of the nation's oldest city. The property is not cheap and a deposit is required, but it's possibly worth every dollar spent.

The main pool (heated) was closed -- it's still under construction, and the gym was closed too. The apartment may be "pet-friendly", but it is not particularly human-friendly. A woman who claimed to be "the property manager" came in on the morning of January 1, when most people were asleep, and attempted to enter the apartment with an unclear goal. Their check-out time is 10 a.m., which is a bit too early, considering that their check-in isn't available before 4 p.m. Still, the cleaners were behind the door long before 10 a.m. on the check-out day, apparently to make the guests disappear as soon as possible and to count every second if the guests are unlucky to be a few seconds late: they enforce a fine equal to the one-day rental fee in this case. The same fine is enforced if you check in a second earlier, even though this is impossible because the door code does not work before 4 p.m. -- they simply love fines and can't resist the temptation of imposing yet another fine, although a violation, such as the early check-in, is technically infeasible.

The bed was really comfortable. Nice location. Quiet even with live music across the street

Could have used more towels and washcloths.
