The property is well located in Le Guilvinec. We liked how convenient it is and the possibility to have a place for 4 people at a time.
It’s surprising that a security deposit is separately required from the hotel at arrival without any mention on Booking.com or during the booking process, leaving guests unaware until it’s too late to adjust plans. The handling of the deposit is also concerning, as no inventory or condition check (“état des lieux”) is conducted upon arrival or, unless requested, at departure, which is the usual requirement for withholding money in property rentals (because this is what it is). This leaves the refund entirely at the discretion of the staff, which feels unfair and legally questionable at best.
Additionally, and once again, without any mention at any point during the booking process, expecting guests to clean the apartment, including taking out their own trash, seems unreasonable for the price, which typically include professional cleaning to ensure consistent standards, but here, it appears guests are tasked with this to cut costs. While leaving a space tidy is completely understandable, . Although the deposit was fully refunded in my case, these practices don’t align with the premium pricing. Usually, this level of self service comes with a friendly price tag. This left a sour taste on an otherwise enjoyable stay.
