Location suited our purposes.

Noise and cooking smells from the host property.

The location was great, lovely town and easily walkable. The place was very sweet, basic kitchenette was useable for one night, bed comfy.

It would have been good to know before booking that it would cost an extra $40 for the linen to use the sofa bed - the property is listed as 2 beds which is why we chose it as 2 friends travelling. We brought our own bedding in the end. Communication was a little difficult and unclear before arriving with Adam telling us he is away a lot so couldn't provide expected breakfast items, again I would recommend editing the listing to reflect this so people can manage their expectations before booking. After all the communication there was bread and eggs provided anyway so we needn't have bought some. The see through bathroom door is interesting to navigate as two friends sharing the space too!

Great breakfast provisioning and lovely host. Great location and beautiful view from the deck. Nice warm space and very clean and tidy! Had everything we needed.

There was a view but unable to spend time out there as furniture damp.

Needed a deep clean. Carpet and sofa stained, sheets/pillowcases greyed/bleach stains, bread felt frozen in middle, bag open sitting in grubby basket, chocolates beside bed in pile of dead plant matter, teabags and coffee not individually sealed..no idea what they were or if fresh, some of the fruit left out also had rotten squishy bits and old food packet left in freezer (cardboard wet and refrozen). Did not feel safe to eat any of the food, due to sense of lack of food safety and hygiene. The container with butters and condiments on bench had sticky stuff in it and rubbish on bottom. It also took until after I had left to get my name right in communication..so altogether did not feel welcoming or worth the money. I have stayed in much better b & bs in Tassie for far less, with quality hospitality. The place doesn’t have to be fancy, but cleanliness is everything.
