This place far exceeded our expectations and what we were looking for. We had stopped to eat on our journey at the Dog Bar, then realized we were tired. The lodge across the street charges $45/pet, and I always travel with my 2 dogs. Booking.com popped up this Inn near us, so we booked. The price was so reasonable, and pets were WELCOMED. It not only turned out to be quite a huge, gorgeous house tucked into charm of Cuchara, but the staff was like old friends. A homemade breakfast set us up for a wonderful day full of adventure. I will be staying here anytime I am in the area.

Mike was a wonderful host and made our stay feel special. The breakfast that he prepared for us was delicious. The lodge living room has so many fascinating items to check out and a lovely view.

The location is right off of main street and still quiet. The inn has a running creek in the back and was a great place to hang out and listen to live music being played at a nearby restaurant. Mike and Gell were terrific hosts and we felt very welcome and taken care of the entire time. The suite was huge, clean, and a good value, with views. Great biking and hiking 5-15 minutes away via car.
