About this house rental
Ideally located in the heart of Tuscany, our bright and airy two story home is situated in the rolling hills of Val d’Ambra in the Chianti area. A great base from which to explore Tuscany's beautiful towns - Siena and Arezzo within a half hour, Florence, Cortona and Perugia all within an hour's drive.
A home away from home nestled in the Tuscan countryside, with a bright and spacious combined living dining room and a large terrace with views of the rolling countryside. The home enjoys two private gardens, with roses, wild rosemary and lavender. Boasting a large, open plan kitchen, fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, large fridge, stove-top and a table that comfortably seats 8 people. The living room has a cozy fireplace, a flat-screen TV with SKY TV service . The sun terrace is ideal for spending lazy evenings outside or brunch in the sun around the large hand-painted Sicilian lava table.
Upstairs: open concept modern kitchen, living and dining room and sun terrace.
Downstairs: three main bedrooms; 1) a large master bedroom with a large glass desk and ensuite, 2) a spacious second bedroom with two twin beds (and a possibility of a 3rd pull out bed), 3) a third, cozy single bedroom with a lovely glass desk. Downstairs also includes a large bathroom, with a full size bath and a washing machine.
Our home and gardens are fully private and part of a gated community known as Vepri built on the foundations of an old Vin Santo Vinyard. Access to a large shared pool less than 50m from the home with deck chairs from mid-May to end of September.
Our home is part of a small community called Vepri located on an old Vin Santo vineyard. Nestled between the Val d’Oricia, Val di Chiana and Val d’Arno and located on the Strade del Vino, Terre di Arezzo, and within easy reach of Tuscany’s magical medieval towns of Siena, Arezzo, Cortona, Assisi, Florence, Volterra, San Gimigiano, Montpulciano and Montalcino.
The vacation house is situated in open countryside among vines and olive groves - the quaint village of Ambra with shops is 1 km away.
Siena 25 minutes, Arezzo 30 minutes, Valdarno 15 minutes, Florence 50 minutes, Montepulciano 50 minutes, Piensa 50 minutes, Perugia 1 hour.
With 1 hour of Perugia airport, 2 hours from Pisa and Bologna airports and three hours from Rome or take the fast train from Rome and within 50 minutes you're in Arezzo and a 25 minute drive away.

Een mooie, ruime woning waar we prima met 5 volwassenen konden verblijven, voorzien van alle gemakken (koelkast, vriezer, vaatwasser, oven, gasfornuis, wasmachine, kleine bbq op het terras). Het huis is onderdeel van een klein complex met meerdere woningen, goed onderhouden en omgeven door mooi onderhouden tuinen en groen. Het ligt een stukje van de doorgaande weg.
Schitterende omgeving en heerlijk rustig. Genoeg bezienswaardigheden binnen redelijke rij-afstand; de informatie die we van de verhuurster ontvingen bevatte mooie suggesties en tips. Zelfs Rome is voor hen die zitvlees hebben met de auto te doen (2 uur rijden).
De ontvangst was snel, goede uitleg gekregen. Omgeving van het zwembad was 'Covid-proof' gemaakt. In de maanden en weken voor ons verblijf regelmatig contact met de eigenaar over de situatie en ontwikkelingen. Buitengewoon prettige contacten. In het begin van ons verblijf wat problemen met de waterdruk in de douche als gevolg van het harde water in Toscane, maar na contact met eigenaar (via Whatsapp) en vertegenwoordiger ter plaatse snel en goed opgelost.
Het huis heeft 3 terrassen, waar je afhankelijk van het moment van de dag heerlijk kunt zitten. Met de stoelen van terrasmeubels was het wel behelpen, omdat drie van de zes houten stoelen op het grote terras kapot waren. Hierdoor stoelen van ander terras gehaald maar comfortabel zitten is het niet.
Een tip voor de verhuurder: horren in de deuren en ramen houden de meeste muggen/wespen buiten.
Al met al een heerlijk vakantieadres voor een rustig en comfortabel verblijf in een schitterende omgeving.

We stayed at Vepri for a quick getaway and loved it. The house is practical, bright and airy in a super location for exploring the best towns in Tuscany. A lovely surprise and Matina was really helpful. The house is really well laid out and has a great kitchen dining area and living room so we got to hang together regardless what we felt like doing. Enjoyed our croissants and coffee on the great lava table on the terrace. Also loved the bench in the garden! It's so wonderful to have some real outside space to enjoy.
