Brilliant apartment in a lovely, quirky little town
The apartment was so warm and cosy, we didn't really need to use the log burner but it too was extremely effective and added to the ambience. Rooms were spacious and well furnished. Having 2 bathrooms was a real bonus, especially the bath and separate shower in the ensuite. Nice and close to the town's amenities too with plenty of parking space which is unusual for Bishop's Castle. A nice touch was Adrian, the host, calling us to check we hadn't left a phone charger (we hadn't) - but some hosts wouldn't have bothered.
A very minor point but we could have done with more than 3 teaspoons - other cutlery, crockery and pans were plentiful!

The property was spotlessly clean, comfortable and very spacious. Everything you might need was there including two boxes full of board games for the potential rainy day. The main bedroom has a door leading to a balcony with table and chairs which I would imagine would be lovely to have a coffee/breakfast on in the warmer months. There was plenty of room to park the cars which was a real bonus as parking in Bishops Castle is always at a premium. Adrian was a lovely host and we felt well looked after. We were so impressed with the accommodation that we have booked again for next year.
The bedroom windows had blinds as well as curtains which was great as they kept most of the light out but the door in the main bedroom didn't have one so if I was being picky I would suggest that was added.

It was exactly right for a short spontaneous visit. A lovely town with great pubs and countryside.
The very pleasant setting, very comfortable beds and sofa, lots of storage - even though we didnt need much. We also liked: having 2 bathrooms, lots of local information, and being very close to two excellent places to eat with exceptional beer.
There wasnt anything we didnt like. (There isnt much room to eat at the table, which would have been small for a cooked full meal.)
