El Rincon de la Hacienda at the old Canarian winery Sancho is a place to take a deep breath. The crystal clear mountain air, the scent of pine, fig and almond trees and the special sun situation mostly over the cloud cover of the island inspire body, mind and soul. The property with a direct view of the Atlantic Ocean is at an medically optimal height of 1,380 meters above sea level. on a 30,000 m² plot of land that extends over several hills. Original Canarian architecture and a high-quality and practical equipment signal excitement and create a relaxed atmosphere. A separate entrance and the secluded secluded location with a distance of approx. 70 meters from the main house guarantee absolute peace and privacy. The starry sky is so beautiful that El Rincon is also used for scientific stargazing.

You can start hiking right from the hacienda and enjoy impressive walks, hikes or mountain bike tours through the almond blossom landscape and the lush vineyards.

- The hacienda is only suitable for younger children to a limited extent as there are many steps due to the hillside location and wine terraces.
- Even though some photos may give a different impression, we are not a 'luxury holiday resort' but an organic winery with holiday homes.
- We strive to make our guests' stay as pleasant as possible and offer various service offers that go beyond a normal holiday home standard. We kindly ask you to inquire about the availability of these offers in advance.

in-house wine:
We manage our winery according to biological principles in cooperation with the successful winemaker Don Alberto, who has already won several international awards with his outstanding red wines. In 2011 we filled 300 bottles of completely hand-picked Listán Prieto grapes exclusively for our guests. End an eventful day of hiking or swimming in a relaxed way with a neat glass of our in-house red wine.
Harvest & enjoy:
The vineyard blooms and grows practically all year round. While the almond and fruit blossom period is impressive from mid-January to early March, the first fruits begin to ripen in April / May. Apricots, figs, lemons, oranges, peaches, plums, apples, pears, strawberries and of course the sweet grapes grow. You can make extensive use of our fruit trees until November. From November to December the sweet chestnuts (chestnuts) are waiting for you to harvest them.
Our own herb garden provides tasty ingredients in the kitchen all year round.

Guided hikes:
We are happy to provide you with experienced hiking guides who can show you the most beautiful hikes on La Palma. Our hikes lead us through the mystical laurel forests, to the sacred dragon trees, through mysterious gorges, to the bizarre crater rim and to the sea. The highlight is the circular hike through the impressive world inside the world's largest erosion crater, the "Caldera de Taburiente", home of the last king of the "Guanches". Again and again we will encounter the traces of the indigenous people. La Palma is a very powerful volcanic island that touches our hearts and appeals to all the senses. A special kind of holiday experience.

Wer Ruhe sucht, kann keinen schöneren und magischeren Ort als diese Hacienda finden. Eine grüne und stille Oase, stilvoll und aufwendig angelegt. Christian hat uns liebevoll betreut und mit frischem Fisch versorgt. Selbst gebackene Brötchen gibt es auch, nicht zu vergessen den köstlichen Hauswein. Selbst das Bett war nicht zu hart und das Kopfkissen bequem. Empfehle ich auch den besten Freunden weiter.

Von der Terrasse auf die Wolken blicken ist ein einmaliger Eindruck, diese Weite! Das Grundstück ist mit Sorgfalt und wunderschönen Pflanzen angelegt und gepflegt, der Ausstattung fehlt es an nichts. Schatten- und Sonnenplätze finden sich, die Ruhe und ein stabiles Internet machen auch Phasen des Homeoffice möglich. Herzliche Gastfreundschaft, lokale Produkte und köstlicher Wein von den eigenen Hängen haben uns verwöhnt.

Wir waren im El Rincon. Es liegt prima für sich alleinstehend, man bekommt von den Nachbarn nichts mit. Umgeben von Feigen- und Mandelbäumen, Eßkastanien und Reben. Durch die Höhe auf 1.300 m sieht man Falken oft von oben, überhaupt ist das Naturerleben sehr intensiv, man ist oft genug oberhalb der Wolken, wo es zwar kühler als unten am Atlantik ist, dafür ist die Luft wesentlich klarer und erfrischender. Der Sternenhimmel ist grandios, Ende September konnten wir noch jeden Morgen und Abend draußen essen, obwohl es jeden Abend einen Tick kühler wurde. Die Unterkunft ist gut ausgestattet, der Gasherd mit vier Platten reicht vollkommen aus. Die Küche ist sehr klein, wenn es also draußen kalt wäre, müßte man zum Essen einmal ums Haus herumgehen, um in die obere Etage zu kommen, wo ein sich ein gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit 2 Sofas befindet. In der Küche fehlt lediglich ein ordentliches Schneidebrett, sonst ist alles da. Im Schlafhaus...richtig gelesen, denn außer einem Doppel-Bett, einer Kommode und einem Kleiderständer ist dort nichts. Die Matratzen sind dünn und recht hart, nicht gut für empfindliche Rücken, außerdem haben die gläserne Eingangstür und das Fenster keine Vorhänge, wir haben mit zwei vorhandenen Strohmatten die Zimmer nachts halbwegs abgedunkelt. Das sollte besser gelöst werden, auch könnte der Schrank für die Kleidung größer sein. Wir erwarten keinen Luxus, das Preis/Freude Verhältnis ist absolut stimmig, es wäre nur durch ein paar kleine Verbesserungen noch viel mehr Wohlgefühl für die Gäste möglich. Das große Bad liegt direkt hinter der Küche. Die Dusche funktioniert einwandfrei, das Verbot, Toilettenpapier über das WC zu entsorgen ist akzeptierbar. Es würde Sinn machen, den Gästen die Mülltrennung zu erleichtern, wir haben Glas separiert und allen Restmüll immer bis zu den Containern beim Restaurant Las Briestas mitgenommen (ca. 2,2 km mit dem Auto). Apropos Auto: Autofahren macht auf La Palma keine Freude, durch unendlich viele Kurven ist jede Tour zeitaufwendig und nervig, weil man sich voll auf die Strasse konzentriert und die tolle Landschaft nur am Rande mitbekommt. Die Hacienda liegt ca. 74 km vom Flughafen entfernt, man benötigt ca. 2 Std. für die Fahrt. Ein Tip: Machen Sie nicht den großen Fehler wie ich und buchen Sie den Leihwagen auf jeden Fall mit Vollkasko. Einkaufen: Am besten in Puntagorda, es liegt ca. 10 km von der Hacienda entfernt. Es gibt dort einen sehr guten Bioladen und einen kleinen COOP mit sehr guter Auswahl köstl
