8IK88 Resort, Phuket - SHA Extra Plus

We loved the view. It was extraordinary to wake up to this sunrise. We could watch it from our bed. The room was very cute and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The food was delicious.

The beach wasn’t that great. The water felt a little sticky somehow. I mean we’ve been to the most amazing beaches on other parts of Phuket and on tiny islands so I guess it’s fine.

Ideal location for a one night stay - not far from airport and close to Bangrong pier for ferry departure the following day. Grateful for airport pick-up in early hours of the morning following delay landing in Phuket. Only there for 9 hours! Bed was very comfortable. Very amenable owner and his family team.

Hotel very rustic and a little run down - and unkempt. AC functional but very noisy. There is a small pool but wouldn’t have wanted to go in as it looked a little unclean.

The view was to die for. It was beautiful. Comfy bed and good a/c. The family run hotel were so helpful and spoke good English. Picked us up from port and even would take you to local supermarket or other ports. Nothing around the area to walk to as was in a remote place but that was its charm. Totally relaxing and chilled. Pool was great and beach and bar were useful to have . Breakfast and other meals were prepared well and all reasonable priced. Didn’t want to leave.

Steps down to beach and steps up to bar were very tricky. No soap in the public toilets.

Great food all round. Location quiet and great views

MOSQUITOS galore, you literally cannot escape them. The whole place definitely needs an upgrade, with that and some ground clean up this place could be a whole lot nicer. Pool disappointing, did not use. Was not cleaned during our stay, had to report on mosquito larvae in wading pool.
