In the vicinity of Winterberg! This is a very spacious, quiet, free-standing cottage, suitable for families or a group of friends. This spacious apartment, with a magnificent view of the Rothaar Mountain, is located on the outskirts of the village of Düdinghausen in the vicinity of famous winter sports areas and the resort town of Willingen. Characteristic of this area is the mountain landscape with vast forests and beautiful hiking and cycling routes, winding rivers, and small quaint villages with their half-timbered houses. The apartment is located on the south side of the house and has a large garden of 2,000m² which includes a playground with a sandbox for the children.

This well-maintained, recently renovated (2002) holiday home is suitable for a maximum of 20 persons. If necessary you can separate the apartment into two by an interior door. Apartment I then has about 85 sq meters and can accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. On the ground floor (directly accessible from the parking lot) there is a residential kitchen (containing a large sitting area, and fully-equipped including an electric oven and a refrigerator / freezer) with a dining area and a TV with satellite connection. Furthermore, there are two 2-person bedrooms, one of which is furnished with an extra single bed; a 1-person bedroom; and a bathroom with a shower and toilet, as well as a storeroom. The large, south-facing terrace is accessible from both the living area as well as from the hall. Patio furniture is available. Apartment II is about 130 sq meters and can accommodate a maximum of 14 persons. It has two levels: the 1st and 2nd floors. The apartment has a big kitchen with a large dining area with sufficient seating and appliances such as a dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and a large refrigerator / freezer. On the 1st floor there is a living room with a very large sitting and dining area. There is also a TV with satellite connection available. On the 1st floor there are three 2-person bedrooms, one of which is furnished with an extra bed, a bathroom with a shower and toilet and a separate guest toilet. A crib and highchair are available. On the 2nd floor you will find a large bedroom containing 4 beds, three of which can be converted so you have 7 comfortable seats. On this floor there is also a large bathroom with a shower, bathtub and two separate sinks plus a toilet.

The village of Düdinghausen lies on the south side of the 'Bald Pon'- the eastern foothills of the long, 800-meter-high Rothaar Mountain which stretches from the "Bruchhauser Steinen' on the 'low-high heather fields' with the 'New Hagen' nature reserve, to the 'Pon Kahlen'. It is the separation point between the territories of Winterberg-Medenbach and Willingen. As a result, and partly owing to its southern location, it is a very sunny area. The village offers excellent opportunities for local hiking as well as long-distance treks. Due to the ideal height of the village (500-774 meters) there is plenty of opportunity for winter sports. Thanks to the cross-country ski trails and loge and ski runs at the ski slopes of the village you can enjoy both larger and smaller winter sports facilities. If you would like to take an excursion, there are the nearby mountain ski resorts of Willingen, numerous local village Christmas markets and beautiful Lake Diemel. All of these are very worthwhile. You also have the following possibilities: tennis, horseback riding, covered wagon rides, skating (indoor rink), swimming in a pool, toboggan, golfing, fishing and other sports and recreational facilities. In short: you will find everything you need to enjoy a pleasant stay in the great Sauerland!

A family-friendly ski-lift with a length of 150 meters and a cross-country ski trail are to be found in the location, around 500 meters by foot. Furthermore, there are still a few miles of cleared hiking trails and the opportunity for deep snow hiking with special, borrowed snowshoes.
More ski lifts are located at about 50-10 km, in Usseln, Willingen and Winterberg or. There are other possibilities, such as ice skating rink or thermal spa with outdoor pool, sauna, etc.
