Lovely stay with friends

Travelling as two couples, the two room set-up with lounge in the middle was perfect. Really spacious. The pool was nice. Rooms are large, beds comfortable, and the bathroom had underfloor heating. Whilst no cooking facilities, there is a microwave, fridge and plates / cutlery etc. It's a lovely, peaceful setting and I would recommend it as a place to 'get away' and chill for a few days. Close enough to plenty of things to explore and do.

We left some food on the counter when we popped out for a few hours, by the time we came back there were ants everywhere. There was fly spray under the bench which helped, but sweet treats beware, the NZ ants come out in force! I was also were notified of a $25 fee to separate the king beds if we preferred a single set-up which I thought was a bit cheeky given the overall cost of the stay.

Good stay but expensive for a short stay

We chose the property because we needed 2bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The facilities were good and we liked the separate villa accommodation.

It would be good to have EV charging. One of the staff tried to help us with a power point behind a service shed but this did not work.

Refined elegance at Plume Villas

Beautiful setting. Lovely spacious villas. Simple, sleek modern decor. Half kitchen came with many utilities. Loved the huge gardens on the grounds.

Would have been better if the restaurant open every night. Also villas are large enough to have a washer.

Amazing stay at Plume Villas! Nick and his wife were so welcoming. We were celebrating a birthday and got upgraded to a bigger, private villa – beautifully equipped and very peaceful. Lovely personal touch. Highly recommend!

We can't wait to be back again!

We liked the unexpected little luxuries such as a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival, finding bottled water at every bedside, a coffee maker with pods, etc. Plume Villas also had the most comfortable bed, and their linen was so crisp and white. In fact, every part of the accommodation was ultra clean and properly laid out. We really enjoyed our overnight stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Inadequate kitchenette equipment. Excellent quality but unusable microwave-stove. There was no other cooking equipment at all.

We loved the location being able to look from our deck out into the countryside and proximity.

We had a problem with the electrical circuit and an electrician was there straight away to fix it. Awesome service. We didn’t try the restaurant.

The "supplies" - soaps, shampoo etc. were pathetic! Two tiny packages of shampoo & conditioner, two small soaps and hair protector gave way putting it on. For the standard of villa and the cost, we would have expected MUCH more!

Great weekend away in Matakana.

I booked the Kiwi Villa for 6 people and it was fabulous. Lovely big bedrooms for everyone and a separate bathroom for each room. Loved the deck off each of the rooms and beautiful views. The lounge/dining area was great - plenty of room for the 6 of us (especially as the weather was wet and we couldn't enjoy the lovely outdoor deck area).

The Villas are perfect for a weekend away of holiday. Very comfortable with some living space, and outdoor area to sit. And also not directly next to other rooms. So spaced out across the property. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Probably just thought the room rate was slightly on the high side for what we thought was not peak season. But that would be the only and very slightly negative point to note. Otherwise a very relaxing and comfortable stay.
