About this cottage rental
This cute little cottage offers you a comfortable stay in the countryside. Perfect for active couples, who want to explore surrounding by sightseeing or doing sports and enjoying peaceful evenings. Numerous options for hiking& cycling, bird watching, horse riding, sport flying as well as fishing, rock climbing, paragliding and swimming in the sea.
Perfect location: 5 km to Postojna and Postojna caves, only 30 min away by car are the capital Ljubljana, the coast in Slovenia (Piran) 50 min, the coast in Croatia (Opatija) 50 min, Bled 60 min, Italy (Trieste) 35 min, Lipica (Lipizzaner) 15 min, Caves Škocjan.
The house is located at a peaceful location sharing the yard with the owner's house. Behind the house there is a large lawn. Under a tall walnut tree there is a patio with a seating area and deckchairs, where the guests can relax, read and enjoy nature. The front yard is enclosed from all sides. In front of the house, under the shade and privacy of a flower wall there is a terrace with a dining table, where the guests can enjoy quiet candle-lit evenings. On the right of the house there is a little terrace, perfect for drinking coffee or tea.
There is a double bed upstairs, accessible by stairs. If necessary the sofa downstairs can be converted to a bed for one person.
TV screen is connected to USB with a big number of movies to chose from for later relaxation in the evening.
Kitchen has a refrigerator and a gas stove. All cookware (plates, dishes, glasses, cutlery, etc.) are present. Guests have dish washing utensils, kitchen towels and basic cooking ingredients (sugar, flour, salt and pepper, oil, vinegar, tea, coffee and spices) at their disposal.
In the bathroom there is a shower, a sink and a toilet. Clean towels and hair drier also available. In the bathroom there are basic personal hygiene items (soap, toilet paper).
Guest access
Guests are given full access of the cottage. If requested, access to a washing machine, iron and ironing board can be arranged. If you are traveling by motorbike or a bicycle, you can store the bikes in the garage.
Interaction with guests
Guests are greeted upon arrival and bid farewell upon departure. Communication is possible in English, German, Italian, Croatian and Slovenian.
Guests will be more than gladly advised on what to do and where to go in the area according to their wishes. There is a list of only a few of numerous options in the Guidebook section.
The city tax is not included in the price (3,30€ per person per night) and the guests pay it to the host.
If you wish to explore the area by bike you can borrow a pair of bicycles.

Bojana hat sich ein kleines Paradies geschaffen. Ihr Garten, in welchem das Tiny-House liegt, ist ein Traum. Da wir mit Hund angereist sind, sind wir meist im komplett eingezäunten vorderen Bereich des Gartens geblieben. Mehr hätten wir jedoch auch nicht benötigt. Bojana war von Anfang an eine sehr engagierte Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns bereits über den Austausch vor der Anreise auf sie gefreut. Vor Ort hat sie uns sehr gute Tipps gegeben, welche Orte es zu besichtigen lohnt. Das hat unsere Ausflugsliste wunderbar erweitert und reicht auch noch für einen zweiten Besuch.
Das Tinyhouse bietet an Ausstattung alles was man als Paar braucht. Es gibt ein gemütliches Hochbett und sogar noch eine kleine Klappcouch unten im Raum. Eine kleine voll eingerichtete Küche samt aller Geräte z.B. Herd mit vier Platten (davon zwei elektro- und zwei gasbetrieben) sowie einen Wasserkocher. Das Badezimmer bietet mit seinem Regal viele Ablageflächen und die Dusche hat einen guten Wasserdruck.
Die Lage der Unterkunft in Matenja Vas ist perfekt für Ausflüge gelegen. Zu jeder Sehenswürdigkeit braucht man mit dem Auto 15 Minuten bis höchstens 1,5 Stunden. Mehrere Supermärkte befinden sich im nahegelegenen Nachbarort.
Leider haben Bojanas und unsere zickige Hündin sich nicht verstanden, aber das war kein Problem. Bojana hat uns den vorderen Garten großzügig überlassen. Wir hätten sogar den kompletten Garten nutzen können. Da ihr Hauseingang in diesem liegt, haben wir darauf geachtet unsere Hündin zur Seite zu nehmen, wenn sie mit ihrem Hund spazieren gegangen ist. Mit gegenseitiger Rücksichtnahme alles kein Problem. Unsere Hündin hat sich, zwar nicht in Bojanas Hündin Lisa aber, in Bojana schwer verliebt. Zu recht, denn Bojana ist eine großartige und sehr liebe Person. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und würden immer wieder kommen.

Après échange notre hôte nous a proposé un programme personnalisé de visites et de lieux à découvrir.
Lisa, le chien ne parle que Slovène !, alors que c'est un plaisir de discuter avec Bojana qui parle plusieurs langues.
Un excellent séjour.
