breakfast was amazing!

i loved everything.

Location, front porch and view, spacious room and bathroom, Roku tv, historical aspects, use of kitchen fridge and freezer

Worn furniture on porch and living/sitting areas made it less comfortable. I’m sure replacing these historically accurate pieces are pricey, but I’d stay more than a night with these improvements as I’d feel more comfortable lounging around. The bed in the Train room needs a new mattress as it was very concave in the middle and very soft. New pillows would be nice too. I understand breakfast only being served on the weekends, but prepared coffee in the morning would have been nice-or at least instructions on how to use the restaurant grade machine-maybe I missed those

The house was amazing as well as the location. Simon The host was awsome.

Furniture was a little uncomfortable and it would have been nice to have a mini fridge and a coffee pot. My wife and I spent a lot of time in the room and that would have been nice to have.

Horrible communication. We received no code to access the house and room despite arriving after check-in time. Host did not answer doorbell, phone calls or messages via booking.com when we attempted to reach him to gain entrance. Eventually rang doorbell again and housekeeper answered and put us in touch with Simon, the host. Host answered her calls. Ours went straight to voicemail. This might have been some technical problem with the host’s phone system but it certainly got our stay off to a bad start.
