we enjoyed our stay despite the shortcomings of the cottage it is such a shame, it could be lovely.
the location was superb.
the cottage needs TLC, it smells of damp and all the windows are screwed shut so you cannot air the place. The oven does not work neither does the kitchen heater or the one in the front room window. The bathroom is awkward and dangerous for anyone with mild mobility problems not even a grab rail.

Quirky Cottage
The cottage is in a good location and full of character, very handy for the train station and pub. The estuary is just a stones throw away with lovely views and great if you love a bit of birdwatching. The beds were very comfortable. Great to have an allocated parking space.
The cottage is quite dated inside and could just do with a little updating. Would have been nice if the fridge had been on as we had cold stuff with us. Also, although it said bring towels, there weren't even any tea towels so we had to go and buy our own. The pub could be a little noisy on delivery days. Overall we had a good stay but there were just a few touches that could have made it better.

nothing much to dislike, the shower was positioned too low on the wall i.e. if you are 5’ 9” or taller ! Need to watch your head with the low ceilings.

A lovely part of the country to visit.
Location.
I feel that it is a "poor show" only to leave 2 half used toilet rolls for the cost of the cottage, if I went to a hotel and paid that price I would not expect to provide my own. I also thought it was odd to have to take my own towels and provide my own washing up liquid. If the owners want it left clean etc, they should provide the equipment for doing that. However, the cottage itself is nice and cosy and the bed was very comfortable.
