Fantastic place for a romantic getaway and adventure.

We just got home from spending three nights in this lovely cabin. It was just as described in the listing and we loved every inch of the place. It was a quiet, peaceful setting away from it all but still close enough for us to go out and enjoy some of the sights in VA & W. VA. The hosts even left a little welcome gift and that was such a thoughtful touch. The first time I’ve ever experienced that with a VRBO rental. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone and would stay there again ourselves.

I normally do not write reviews of anything, and have never written one for the many many cabins we have stayed at. The reason I have not is they are all the same. There is rarely anything worth noting about any of them. From the cheapest, to the most expensive.....all the same. However, that is not the case with this place. This place was simply great!!! Awesome property away from the bustle of a town, large enough and wooded enough to not see the neighboring properties. The cabin itself is very nice and homely , very clean, and has a very welcoming feel that makes it feel like you live there....rather than that hotel feel that even a lot of other cabins have. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about any of it...at an unbelievable nightly rate. The pictures on the listing do not do it justice. I had done some sleuthing before I received the address from the host and found it.... I was a bit skeptical looking at maps and satellite photos, but as soon as we hit the end of the driveway, all that skepticism went the way of the birds. Thank you for letting us stay in your cabin.

This is the first time we have booked a vacation using Vrbo and we must say, it was a great experience! We were originally planning on going to the Bahamas for our honeymoon, but due to COVID, we were denied international travel. So we decided to look at spending a week near the Harfield McCoy Trails to ride our RZR. However, since it was our honeymoon, we wanted something a bit more romantic and secluded than what is usually available for rent around them. Boy, did this place fit that bill PERFECTLY.This cabin is perfectly quiet. We didn’t see a soul the entire time we were there (minus the wildlife). I will tell you, that there is another house/ cabin that is on the same property and about 50 yards from this cabin that really caught us off guard when we pulled in, we didn’t see it in any of the pictures and were worried that other people would be there during our stay. Luckily, we didn’t see anyone there or around it all week. The cabin itself was incredibly clean and you could tell that the owners took great care in the upkeep, layout, and furnishings. It truly is as great as the pictures show. As others have mentioned, we also really enjoyed the s’mores that were left for us. The grounds are perfectly put together and maintained. The pond was beautiful and the creek that runs through the property was very picturesque when standing on the foot bridge, especially with the changing leaves. The screened in porch was a huge hit for us and we loved sitting in the giant chairs and enjoying the scenery and sounds. We even chose to stay in the first full day to relax and enjoy the cabin. If you plan on cooking your own meals, anything you would need is provided. The grill had an extra propane tank and grilling tools. The kitchen had any pot/ pans and utensils you would need. Wanda was very helpful with her directions to the cabin and seemed very willing to assist if anything was even remotely less than expected. We always appreciate when a review isn’t just all positives and have some faults as well. I must say, it is very, very hard to find one here. The only thing we could come up with as a negative is the master bed isn’t quite as comfortable as you might hope. If your a fan of a very firm mattress, you’ll sleep like a newborn. If not, you’ll understand my point after the first night. We would HIGHLY recommend this cabin to anyone. It is truly just as amazing as it appears in pictures. Perfect for some “us time”.
