About this cabin rental
High Country All Star is a quaint, cozy three-story mountain cabin that mixes modern comfort and rustic charm. Ample entertainment space, both indoors and outdoors, is ideal for family gatherings or time with friends!
This home has wonderful features throughout, including hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and a fully stocked and updated kitchen. There is an open loft upstairs that includes a slate pool table and foosball table. The downstairs functions as an additional family space with a large HDTV, as well as a sleeper sofa for larger parties requiring extra sleeping spots.
Guests can enjoy the tranquility and wooded views from the covered rear deck, fire pit, or hot tub. There is a short path that leads to a pond that guests are welcome to explore and fish (with appropriate licenses).
The Lakes Community in Seven Devils is only 2 Miles from Hawksnest, which offers snow tubing in the winter, and ziplining during non-winter months. Otter Falls Trail is less than a mile away and makes for a wonderful walking trail with majestic mountain views as well as Otter Falls Waterfall. Guests can also easily access neighboring towns such as Boone and Blowing Rock as well as attractions like Grandfather Mountain and both Beech and Sugar Mountain Ski Resorts.

Property was very nice. Centrally located to all activities. Cabin could have been cleaned better and check in out procedures were not clear.

We had a great weekend at the cabin. We really enjoyed the pool table and the layout of the cabin was great for us with our 2 adult children, having bedrooms and baths on all three levels.
A few things in the cabin could use some attention, however. The trash can lids did not have any locks on them and a raccoon got into it one night. The hot tub thermostat does not work right, one night it was too cold to use, the next night it was way too hot to use. And the beds could use an upgrade. All the beds were uncomfortable and squeak really loud just rolling over. The linens and pillows also need to be replaced.
But overall the cabin has a lovely setting and is really easy to get to from downtown Boone.

Really enjoyed our time here. Had a good sized group (5 adults) and the cabin was really spacious. The weather couldn’t make up it’s mind ( super warm for December and then freezing cold at night)We really appreciated how customizable the heat was throughout the house.😊

We discovered that the hot tub wasn't functioning properly. Most of the jets didn't function and the headrests were just horribly nasty looking. There was a huge rip in the middle couch cushion on the lower level. The ice maker was not working at all. We sent an email to the property manager about the Hot tub to never receive a reply. When I pay for a Villa I expect the main things I picked the villa for to function. The Villa was beautiful in appearance and area but it's the things inside that disappointed us. One of the comforters on the twin beds was filthy and God Knows what the crusty stuff on it was. So disgusting.
