La Maison du Barbenan is located in the heart of the village of Arfeuilles. It is ideal for those wishing to go hiking in the mid-mountain region. Ground floor: kitchen, living room, dining room with wood-burning stove, shower room (shower/toilet). Upstairs: 1 bedroom (1 double bed), 1 bedroom (1 single bed), 1 bedroom (1 single bed, cot). Bathroom (bath/toilet). Hiking trails start from the cottage. Vichy 32 km. Lapalisse area 15 km. La Loge des Gardes ski resort 25 km. Châtel-Montagne 10 km. Saint-Clément lake leisure center 15 km away with opportunities for swimming and sports activities (canoeing, treetop adventure course, quad biking, pedal boats, paddleboarding, etc.). A second dining table with 4 chairs is available in the cupboard on the ground floor. Possibility of accommodating one additional person at no extra charge on the sofa bed in the dining room.

Quiet village location (1 shop!), the house appears tiny outside but is spacious inside, with plenty of room for family of 4 plus all our luggage! All amenities are provided, we didnt lack for anything it’s a wonderful base for exploring the area: we’d highly recommend it! (Just be aware if you’re staying over a weekend which includes 15 August, the whole village is jumping until 4am with loud live music!)
