Welcome to Hidden Gem
Hidden Gem is a rustic mountain cottage tucked away in a wooded property bordering the Lees-McRae College campus. It is conveniently located just a short walk from Banner Elk. Enjoy beautiful views and proximity to the town center at the same time.
Hidden Gem features an open floor plan with hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings. The great room has a wood-burning stone fireplace, cozy leather furniture, and a large HDTV with a Blu-Ray Player. The kitchen has granite countertops, custom cabinetry, and a custom dining table.
The king master suite has an ensuite bathroom, a large HDTV, and access to a screened-in porch with a dartboard and a napping swing. The other two bedrooms have HDTVs and share a bathroom. On the other end of the cottage is a game room with a slate pool table and a 55-inch HDTV. Upstairs loft area is where the XBOX is located.
The rear deck offers a covered outdoor living area with a wood-burning stone fireplace, comfortable lounging furniture, and a sunken hot tub. The rear deck leads to a landscaped, open backyard encircled by mature trees and with a fire pit. There are amazing views of Grandfather Mountain from the backyard!
Hidden Gem is located near downtown Banner Elk, giving access to shopping, dining, festivals, and everything else Banner Elk offers. Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain Ski Resorts are just minutes from this property.
*Please be aware that this property borders Lees-McRae College. Construction is taking place on a neighboring property owned by the school.
*This home is dog-friendly with additional pet fees required.

We booked this cabin in Banner Elk last summer after seeing it online and we were able to drive by it last year to double check its location. When we checked in things were as advertised. We spent many evening hours on the deck overlooking a valley which contains a Mill Pond and waterfalls, which serenaded us and a few guests who came to dinner. Our thirty-day stay turned out to be the perfect about of time. Our labrador appreciated the location almost as much as we did. It is right on the campus of Lees-McRae college. Many walks around the campus were special. The 4th of July parade in Banner Elk assembles on a street right by the cabin, so we were able to walk over to watch the parade. The cabin is well equipped, close to everything in Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing rock. We are thinking about going back next year.

My husband, friends, nephew and his family stayed here. The house was great and perfect location! You can easily walk to the town which was very nice. We had friends visit over the weekend and because the house is so open we were able to visit with everyone comfortably. The loft was a plus for the kids. We highly recommend and hope to stay there again sometime!

Did a good bit of kitchen cleaning upon arrival. House has good layout would go back if it was cleaner. Fav spot is back deck fireplace.

This is a roomy house right on the Less Mcrae campus making it easy to use for drop offs, homecoming, parents weekend.
