Tourcoing stay

Great value for money. We have never stayed in a family home before and it was a great way to stay in a beautiful traditional house. The hosts were very accommodating especially on our late arrival from Paris. Great location to explore Tourcoing, Lille and Dunkirk.

A fridge in the room would have been a welcome addition though we realise that may not be possible.

Unfortunate

Unfortunately, we stayed in 2 separate rooms located in the owners home. As a family of 5, it was very uncomfortable, also as we were packing(08:20AM) and taking our baggage down the stairs, the hostess asked us to be quiet as her daughter was still sleeping. Unfortunately the pictures also do not match reality at all and a feeling of false advertising is surely not unjust. Staying inside someone's home with their family is surely not what we expected.

Conveniently located. Easy self-check-in. Good communication. And a Sega Master System available in the room ;-) That is unique.

Good for flexible travelers not work travelers

Location ,breakfast , beautiful property inside , hosts were polite and helpful

Too many stairs to bedroom , bathroom was not attached and the key system to go from room to bathroom was annoying . Towels need to be better quality. I wanted to leave my luggage and take it later in the day but that was not possible as both hosts were not home .

No garden view from King room / No onsite parking as advertised

We didn't stay.!

No parking on site as advertised, actually only on Street parking. Clutter on passages and landings, very narrow flights of stairs up to the attic room (kingsize with garden view), sky lights only and as the room was so high in the building it was only the tree tops that were visable when on tiptoes. Hence NO garden view, as advertised. We did not stay and asked to be reimbursed. The owner instantly refused any likelihood of a refund.

The garden was a real surprise.The breakfast in the garden was very good with delicious homemade jams.

- very central, yet in a quiet street - free parking in the street - very helpful and charming family, helped me with my luggage, gave good restaurant recommendations... - clean - tea facility in the room, soap, shampoo etc. - I didn't use the spa nor took the breakfast so I cannot comment on that

- this is a soft mattress. Depends on personal preferences but good to know in case of back problems - the heating system stops during the night. I stayed at the BnB late November, so it can get pretty cold

Super chambre d'hôtes !

Charmante maison typique du nord très bien située (proche gare, centre-ville). La chambre est joliment arrangée, très propre, calme et spacieuse avec une salle de bain attenante. On se sent comme chez soi. Les hôtes sont accueillants et très sympathiques. Je recommande également le petit déjeuner (baguette et viennoiseries fraiches 😋) d’un très bon rapport qualité/prix. Très bonne adresse !

Chambre avec salle de bain sur le palier mais le propriétaire nous a donné une autre chambre au 3e étage. Pas de problème pour moi mais quid pour des personnes qui ont du mal avec les escaliers...

Séjour très agréable et au calme dans une belle maison de maître. Parking aisé. Accueil chaleureux et attentionné des propriétaires. A quelques minutes à pied du centre-ville. Idéal pour decouvrir Tourcoing et ses environs.

Un porte-manteau et quelques cintres à disposition seraient un plus mais personnellement j"avais prévu le necessaire ;-)

Die Lage war zentrumnah. Das Haus ist ein altes Stadthaus, welches toll renoviert wurde. Die Zimmer waren großzügig und luxuriös mit Kühlschranknutzung und im Zimmer Wasserkocher. Die Inhaber waren super nett und hilfsbereit und entspannt.

Es hat im Flur etwas nach Rauch gerochen.

Goede tussenstop op weg naar Bordeaux

Tourcoign was voor ons een tussenstop op weg naar Bordeaux. Voor ons (gezin met 2 volw en 2 kinderen) was het verblijf functioneel. 2 ruime kamers met telkens dubbel bed. Badkamer was apart maar dat was geen probleem. Kinderen sliepen op een andere verdieping maar ook dat was OK. Inchecken ging vlot (sleutelkastje). Alles was heel proper.

Er hing een rookgeur in het huis. Het huis is behoorlijk gehorig. Om 3u ‘s nachts was er veel lawaai van de andere gasten. Zelf moesten we om 5u30 de deur uit om de trein te halen…aangezien we de tassen van de trap moesten zeulen ging dat wellicht ook niet zonder lawaai…

Accueil chaleureux Petit déjeuner très correct pour le prix demandé et possibilité de le prendre très tôt!!. Vaste chambre! Très jolie ancienne maison.

Les serviettes de salle de bain étaient hyper rêches. Une toute petite chose qui serait à améliorer pour le plus grand confort des utilisateurs. La salle de bain située sur le même palier que la chambre mais il fallait quitter la chambre y compris la nuit pour y accéder (wc dans la sdb). Peu pratique avec des anciennes portes qui font beaucoup de bruit quand on les ferme. Escalier très abrupte et escarpé pour accéder à la chambre située au 2e étage. La maison étant située face au jardin botanique, nous aurions pu supposer qu’aucun bruit n’aurait été perceptible la nuit…
