Kare Bear Cabin is a delightful home that was recently updated, is within walking distance to restaurants, and is ready to host your next Deep Creek Lake vacation! It is the perfect place for family and friends to make mountains of treasured memories.
Creating the perfect lake house vibe, the charming decor welcomes you to unwind. A wall of windows and skylights let in just the right amount of natural light. Sink into the leather sectional sofa relax after a leisurely hike on a crisp autumn day. You can watch TV on the wall-mounted TV or start making plans for your next adventure.
The kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials for making homestyle meals. You can gather around the dining table for good food and lively conversation. Linger long after the dishes are cleared to play board games before bedtime.
Speaking of bedtime, each of the three bedrooms is outfitted with a TV and is decorated with a good night's sleep in mind. There is a bedroom with a king, one with a queen and the third offers a bunk bed that is perfect for the kids.
The spacious backyard had plenty of room to run and play! You can unwind on the deck with your favorite beverage as the sun starts to set. When the stars come out, get together around the fire pit for yummy s'mores and spooky stories.
This home's central location can't be beat! Take advantage of state park passes when you stay for a summer week and explore the outdoors with your favorite people. Deep Creek Lake State Park is only two miles down the road. It has something for everyone! There is a sandy beach for swimming, multiple playgrounds, lots of scenic hiking trails along with kayak and canoe rentals. It is also home to the Discovery Center that has hands-on environmental exhibits and great kid's activities led by park naturalists. Swallow Falls State Park is also an absolute must for any trip to Deep Creek. Three spectacular waterfalls can be reached by hiking through a pristine forest. It is especially beautiful when the fall foliage is on display.
Within less than one mile, you will find several of the area's most popular restaurants and a marina as well as the movie theater and well-stocked market. Venture just a few minutes further to experience four-seasons of fun at Wisp Resort. You can experience everything from skiing and snow tubing to golf and ziplines.

The house was VERY clean and in good shape. It's on a busier street than we realized, so it's not the super quiet in the woods feeling we were hoping for. But we were really in town for a specific purpose, so it wasn't a big deal for us. But if you are coming to enjoy the lake, this is probably not the place for you.

The location was convenient, and the cabin was well stocked with the essentials. The only downside was WiFi connection wasn’t working the first day. That was quickly resolved the next day when the old router was replaced with a new one.

Overall it was just ok to stay at. The pictures of the inside were accurate, but the cabin is located next to a busy road. You will struggle to get any peace and quiet. Sitting outside was hard to do as well due to a constant smell of sewage. Furthermore the lawn service showed up unannounced to maintain the property. There is a fire pit outside, but also not really usable due to a small of sewage the majority of the time. The check in process was also not the smoothest due to the management not answering my messages about the check in procedure and had to call them to receive my email about that process. Overall I will not be staying there again.
