own nice entrance to the sea was definitely an asset. nearby (up to 30-50 km) places provided more beaches of all types. You can by all necessary supplies in Karlobag. Accommodation was as expected (towels included:) with very nice hosts and clean rooms with nice sea view.
when the weather is not the best, it can get very windy as accommodation is below high mountains.

Location and Setting. The apartment is 20m from the private and secure water front.
There is a decent sized balcony - large enough for dinner/lunch - with amazing views over the sea. (The top two apartments have perfect views, the lower two slightly obscured by trees).
The beach has excellent access - ladder or steps - for people and Stand-Up-Paddle boards.
There is plenty of room to store Stand Up Paddle Boards securely (The apartments are gated and private, the gate is not normally locked, but it felt safe to leave SUPs out).
The view: Absolutely fabulous.
No dislikes, but some things to be aware of:
Equipment levels are not the highest. We needed to provide some basics - e.g. toilet paper, salt, spices, coffee filters, cooking oils. Not a problem, but best known about in advance. There is a dishwasher (tablets provided) but no washing machine.
There are plenty of bathroom towels, but guests need to provide their own beach towels.
Local shopping and restaurants are limited. The area is isolated (a positive!), and local supermarkets are small and expensive. (We went to Gospic for a major shop. This is 45 minutes each way over the mountains, but worth it for the view from the pass.)
The local geography can create strong winds in the morning and evening. This isn't a problem for swimming or sunbathing (the beach is sheltered), but could be for longer SUP trips.

Nice apartment and host. Near by beach.
The beach is definitely not for small children, two steps in the water and is too deep. Too much bugs around.
