About this lodge
YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR MINIMUM THREE NIGHT STAY. The Double L Bar lies in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem of the Absaroka Mountains in Northwest Wyoming. The East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park is a two hour drive from the ranch. Guests enjoy abundant trails, hiking, fishing, hunting, biking, camping, stargazing, and incredible scenic and wildlife photographic opportunities. The Double L Bar Ranch is a historic guest ranch and home to grizzly bears, bighorn sheep, elk, deer, pronghorn antelope, mountain lions, coyotes, and wolves. This secluded property borders the Shoshone National Forest Lands and BLM land with Hardpan Creek and the Southfork of the Shoshone River running through. A 3 mile hike out the backdoor will put you in the Washakie Wilderness with amazing viewing opportunities. Check-in: 4 PM, Check Out: 11 AM. The access to the lodge can accommodate automobiles but SUV's and four wheel drive are recommended.

Absolutely loved the lodge! Our family of 5 enjoyed the amazing Mountain views and outstanding hiking surrounding the property. The cabin was fully stocked, clean and everything we were looking for. Excellent communication from the hosts the entire stay. Truly a remarkable property and one we hope to soon return to.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! Ken, Jill, and Austin were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. The lodge has everything you need for an unforgettable Wyoming experience. The views alone are enough to make you never want to leave.The property offers a unique glimpse into history while providing all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay. Every detail helped make our trip special.We will definitely be adding this lodge to our favorites list and hope to return in the future. A special shoutout to "Alfonso," the mule deer who visited us each morning and became a memorable part of our stay!Thank you for sharing such a beautiful piece of Wyoming with us. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable getaway.

We booked this cabin for our family trip to Yellowstone. The location would be great for a getaway from society however it was much farther from the park than we realized. The distance would have been ok but the last few miles to the cabin are pretty slow going as the road is only traversable if you have an all wheel drive vehicle. The cabin was awesome and we would have loved it had we not been traveling to the park.
