BB Home, Village Home of Krishna Alva Navooru, one and half km from Lake Temple Ananthapura,

We did stay in this old fashioned, sort of traditional local house for 6 wonderful days. The house is all renovated, equipped with everything necessary and located in a very rural and therefore quiet area. The host Krishna is the kindest, most caring host we have ever had, very knowledgeable too. All of this makes BB Homestay our favourite stay so far in India. A family in the neighborhood does provide the breakfast. Local, delicious homemade food is prepared there by Fatima. For every other meal one needs to go at least 3km towards Mogral or cook for themselves. Auto-Rikshaw is usually always available somewhere, so no need to walk to far. Krishna can also provide contact of a good english speaking electro riskhaw driver by the name of Adil. A small store is very close, groceries for basic needs are available there. Beautiful Mogral beach is about 5km away.

From the moment we stepped foot onto the property, we felt a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately put us at ease. The proprietor, Mr. Krishna Alva, was truly an exceptional host. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and convenience. Not only did he assist us in arranging transportation to reach the property, but he also shared valuable insights about the captivating attractions in Kasargod, enriching our entire experience. Beyond the physical aspects of the homestay, what truly made our stay remarkable were the wonderful conversations we had with Mr. Krishna. His knowledge, warmth, and genuine hospitality created an environment where we felt like cherished guests rather than mere visitors. We had the opportunity to engage in memorable discussions that enriched our understanding of the local culture and left us with lasting memories. Overall, our stay at this homestay was nothing short of amazing. The combination of the serene location, the spaciousness of the house, and the exceptional hosting skills of Mr. Krishna Alva made it an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat with a personal touch.

I would not put it as something I did not like but instead, as something to keep in mind while staying in this property. This property is a little far from the central Kasargod city itself so if you are not taking your vehicle you might want to arrange transport facilities beforehand or be informed about the public transport availability.

The host was awesome. I told him I wanted to see a Theyyam celebration and he found one. It took an hour and a half to find the place but it was great. Haha. This spot is more for travelers than tourists to be sure. Again, the host was very responsive and friendly. No complaints. But its quite remote, keep that in mind.
