My name is Tammy Sanderfer and I live in Lincoln Nebraska. I am the owner of Siesta Sands and its sister property Fiesta Sands (445861). Let me tell you a little bit about Siesta Sands wonderful features!
Siesta Sands is a recently constructed multi-level raised beach house decorated in a Southern beach style to appeal to the modern family or multiple family groups. With 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, including 2 true king-bed master suites each with oversized jacuzzi tubs, large walk-in closets and private decks, this home is ideal for the large family or multi-family vacations. Upstairs, bedrooms 3 and 4 each have queen beds and bedroom 5 offers two double beds. Each bedroom has large closets, dressers and nightstands to keep you from having to live out of your suitcases. Each bedroom features a 32-inch flat screen television with cable and remote. The six large flat screen televisions offer multiple entertainment options throughout the house including cable with ESPN. DVD or blue ray players are available for use along with a library of popular movies. The Main level boasts wide open, light, airy spaces including a large, open-concept family room, dining area, kitchen and one of the master suites with its own private screened-in deck. This open and spacious floor plan easily accommodates up to 14 guests comfortably and the extra large carpeted family room is perfect for evening conversations and board or card games with the whole group. A private deck off the family room offers the opportunity to share a morning coffee or to relax while sipping on an after-dinner drink. The upstairs level, houses the second true master suite with a private deck, plus the other three bedrooms and a large laundry area. It is the perfect combination of modern convenience and restful vacation paradise, and of course your small furry pet family members are welcome as well.
*To accommodate even larger groups, Siesta Sands may be rented in conjunction with its mirror image beach-themed twin unit Fiesta Sands (see VRBO 445861) to sleep up to 28 total adults. EACH side has its own PRIVATE fenced back yard with a lighted PRIVATE pool to relax around, and EACH side has is own custom luxury outdoor kitchen/bar with granite countertops and Weber gas grill, facing the pool, as well as Trex outdoor bar seating and decorative landscape lighting. Rental of both sides would be perfect for a destination wedding or for large family or class reunions.
Siesta Sands is located a scant one block from the majestic Atlantic Ocean on a quaint, quiet street with easy access to the gorgeous, wide Garden City Beach sands. You are an easy and comfortable, level, 3-minute walk from the carport to the beach; close enough for convenience, but removed from the constant traffic and noise of Ocean Boulevard.
Spend your days lounging on the beach soaking up the sun, and remembering how good a relaxing vacation can be. Take a short walk to the classic Garden City Pier and spend some time in the nostalgic cafes, shops, arcade and watering holes that have been enjoyed for generations by Grand Strand vacationers. Return to your vacation paradise and have a nap by your private pool with areas perfect for either afternoon sun or relaxation in the shade. Have a picnic while the kids cool off in the pool. Siesta Sands was an excellent property to stay on our family vacation. A short walk to the beach, a great pool and plenty of room in the house. The house had everything we needed and was clean and tidy. It suited our family needs well. The house is in a great location, close to food markets, gift shops and restaurants. The owners are excellent hosts, easy to talk to and so helpful.

Great cottage and excellent location. I did have an incident that happened, and the host was super responsive. The shower glass door completely shattered as I was exiting the shower. The glass was supposed to be shatter proof. I had to call 911 and had to ride by ambulance to the emergency room. I had cuts all over my feet and my arm. The doctor had to remove all the glass from my foot and right arm and hand. The host was very upset at what happened. It was not the host’s fault. The glass company that installed the glass was responsible. The glass door was improperly installed. The glass company tried to say it was my fault. However, I all I did was simply start opening the door and it shattered. I want to emphasize that the host was not responsible for this accident. She came over and saw the damage and couldn’t believe the damage. She immediately called VRBO and asked them to reimburse the full cost of the rental. She just wanted to make sure I was alright. She called to the glass company to clean up the glass and that she would deal with them about reimbursement for the glass and lost revenue. I told her if she needed anything from me I would be glad to help in anyway I could.

For a $4000 rental, cleanliness and the list below should be corrected to get a higher rating. Tammy did reply quickly when I sent pictures of what we found. She sent 3 older women, 1 which had a serious illness to rectify the situation. Feeling horrible for that women we just settled for what they could do. We bought our own Lysol wipes to wipe things around the house including bathrooms to feel comfortable.
Issues listed below;
Upon arrival found unit was not as clean as the pictures and email cleaning list made it seem.
Bathroom downstairs had poop smear on sink
Found the pool was dirty with Sand, bugs, debris. Pool guy never came throughout our stay. According to the check in instructions pool guy would visit 2x week.
Patio, patio chairs and table , grill were very dirty. We couldn’t use the grill. (Women used Lysol spray to clean the dirty patio tables)
Dog poop left on tiny lawn from previous renters
Cigarette butts found all throughout the different decks.
Bed sheets had stains that looked like feces. (Women changed them out for cleaner ones)
Beds were not comfortable
Dishes had dried up crusty food, had to rewash everything we wanted to use.
Pictures need updated. The yard had a small patch of grass 3 dogs had to share. Not what the picture shows.
Found trash from previous renters under multiple beds.
