About this house rental
Privacy & nature. Lots of walking paths on many acres of land. Although it is secluded, you are only 2 miles from town with a convenient grocery store.
The private pond is clean and spring fed, so it is enjoyable for swimming, paddling, rowing or floating.
We are conveniently located 1.5 miles off the Interstate 91, so traveling is very easy to visit many places in the area.
The house used to be a late 1700's tavern for the settlers of the area to get a meal and room to sleep the night while traveling the Hinman Settlers Road.

The Barton House is perfect for a relaxing, peaceful, stress-free family vacation.We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Barton House! The property is a perfect slice ofpeaceful serenity—so quiet and relaxing. Inside, the house was exceptionally well-equippedwith everything we could possibly need, and it was clean and comfortablefrom top to bottom. Our host, Gail, was fantastic to work with and always provided quickresponses to any questions we had. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and wouldhighly recommend this beautiful rental to anyone!"

We absolutely loved staying in this home! I felt like I was walking into my home. So clean and beautiful! We saw deer twice right across the road. We had children in our family group, and they loved playing in the snow. Lots of fun nearby in Barton, Stowe, and Burlington. The Canadian border is 20 miles away, and we loved Quebec City! The local cheese and maple syrup products were especially enjoyed!

We had a great stay with our group. The house was spacious and the amenities were abundant. Very cozy and comfortable home. It was so great that we did not mind trailering our snowmobiles a short distance to meet up with the VAST trails. The conditions were great! The hostess was awesome and quick with response. Highly recommended because it is deserving of it, it did not disappoint in any way!! You will enjoy your stay. We wanted to use the outdoor fire pit at night after our ride, but at below zero temperatures…. did not venture out into the cold. but on a selfish note, wanted it to be available for when we were in that area.

Loved that it was out in the country! The house was clean and the kitchen had plenty of cooking utensils, pots, and dishes for a large crowd! Beds were clean and comfortably along with bathrooms that were well stocked. The main downside was the misleading listing. It stated that there was air conditioning...there was one air-conditioner in one bedroom. Thankfully there were several fans! It also listed that there was a pool. No pool! Would have been nice because it was hot! Other than that, our stay was good! Great place for a little family get together.
