Kona Makai is an ocean front complex with pool, hot tub, tennis courts, 5 BBQ's, gated entry at night. Beautiful landscaping, plenty of parking, a clean and quiet complex, you only hear the sound of the ocean, not the traffic. When the ocean is flat there is good snorkeling right in front of complex,
Our unit is easily accessible on the ground floor, no stairs. Elevated view from the lanai of the ocean and pool. We are about 1 mi. from town, easy walking, with wide shoulders on Alii Dr,

The unit has a remodeled kitchen done Aug 2024, all new appliances, there are plenty of dishes, pans, serving trays, plastic ware for BBQ area, new Keurig & new regular coffee maker, electric tea kettle, Brita water pitcher, Convection oven. AC in the bedroom, Smart TV in bedroom & same in living room, and a Blu-Ray DVD player. The bathroom was completely redone, new tile shower, vanity, mirror and lights.
Eat your meals on the lanai at the table and chairs and enjoy the view of the ocean, with surrounding tropical plants providing privacy. I have trays you can take your food down to the BBQ area. The lanai has a ceiling fan and light for enjoying your evening outside.
We provide Tommy Bahama beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, boogie boards, snorkeling fins and masks, (no water shoes) beach umbrella, hair dryer, tennis racquets, iron, first-aid kit.
Due to Covid I have instituted a 24 hour calendar block before each reservation, to give the cleaning crew time to thoroughly clean the unit before each guest arrives.

The condo was great, very well equipped with everything we needed for a 5-day stay. Great sunset views from the lounges in front of the pool. Contractors were restoring the building while we were there so there was noise during the day but not much of an issue since we were gone most of the day.

The owner was very communicative and helpful. She had lots of the little things needed for a stay-shaving cream, shampoo, garbage bags, toilet paper. You name it, it was there. Stayed for 3 weeks and could have packed only a carry on. Nice location for exploring the Kona Coast and for snorkeling. Would come back in a heartbeat!

Lovely condo. We enjoyed the many extras it had to offer (cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, etc.) Would stay here again.

Needed to have a good cleaning by sliding door. Looked like a critter left some droppings behind. Floor fans need cleaning. Blew out dust so didn’t use. Housekeeper needs to do better. Liked the location and convenience of property amenities. Enjoyed watching the sunsets. We walked to one of the restaurants one evening down on Ali’i drive which was nice since it was only a mile away. Host was attentive and checked in on us. Liked the security of a gated community. Would stay there again.
