This secluded home is set on THREE ACRES of private wooded property on Mason Creek. This is a fantastic location to get away, unplug, go fishing, boating or experience old Florida in any number of therapeutic ways. Dock your small fishing boat at our PRIVATE DOCK on Mason Creek or launch at any of 3 free ramp locations less than 5 minutes away. NOTE: there are unmarked underwater hazards on Mason Creek. There are also seasonal changes that can limit access if your boat is too large. Best if you are familiar with Mason Creek or have good real-time navigation equipment that shows you what is underneath you in the brackish water. Picture 230 feet of private water frontage with endless waterways to explore. Take your CANOE, KAYAK or your outboard out for a day on the water! A scenic 20 minute boat ride will take you into some of Florida's best fishing areas in the Gulf of America or launch at the Homosassa Springs River toward Homosassa’s Wildlife Park where you can SWIM WITH MANATEES in crystal clear springs! (By land the Nature Park is less than 10 minutes away.) The Daydream Cottage is 10 minutes from highway 19; 20 minutes from Crystal River; 30 minutes from Weeki Wachee, this area is remote enough to take you away but close enough to stores & restaurants and other fun excursions. There are great local establishments like Crackers, Crumps, The Freezer, MacRae's & Sea Grass Restaurant which are all on the river; and other good eating places like Louigi's and the Old Mill Tavern, the Coastal Grill and others where you will experience America's small town friendliness, teeming with local color. Old Homosassa is also very biker-friendly whether you are a pedal pusher or a motorized biker. Golf carts are also permitted in some areas.

Our simple Florida lifestyle home is a bit dated and certainly not fancy but it is absolutely clean and fully furnished and equipped for your comfort and convenience. We call it retro-chic. Our favorite spot is the breezy 13 X 26 foot screened porch overlooking the water. This is where your daydreams begin. We have lovingly named it PARADISE PORCH. Step inside to a large comfortable great room with a panoramic view of the water. The large island kitchen is well equipped. Other features are an indoor laundry; two full bathrooms and two bedrooms (one has a full-size bed and the master has a King.) All bed and bath linens are furnished and of high quality. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of staying on a natural unspoiled Florida waterway and enjoy the sounds and sights of nature including, egrets, blue heron, ospreys, manatees, dolphins, otters, deer and hummingbirds! Spend endless days on the water FISHING and BOATING. No boat? No problem! There are plenty of charter excursions and boat rentals available in the area. We recommend smaller shallow draft fishing boats under 20' or pontoons for docking at the cottage but larger boats can launch at the nearby free ramps to go up the river or out to the Gulf. Winter low tides may limit boating from our dock depending on your vessel so please confer with the owner beforehand. We don't want you to have expectations that our property cannot accommodate.

Whether you just want to relax and allow daydreams to visit, or you want to take in all that Florida has to offer, this is a great place to do it.
