Kingly Bush Villa

Loved the house and the location. Initially I was concerned about the area because of reviews about the mine in the area and the abandoned hotel. This house is located on the opposite side of the golf course (not near the mining side) so we only heard wildlife and peace and quite at night. The abandoned hotel is nothing more than a blocked off construction site and did not impact on our stay. The security on site were so friendly, drove us to our house, helped us retrieve the keys and showed us how to operate the alarm (if we wished to set it at night and to be set when you leave for the day). The house had 4 large, spacious bedrooms with aircons all ensuites. Extra guest toilet. Easy to use braai facilities and the kitchen had everything you needed. I was a little stressed about the solar system but we had no issues during our stay. Water was hot for everyones showers. Kitchen had a well stocked honesty bar which is always welcoming when you first arrive. There is also firewood at the lodge (costs are displayed in the kitchen) There is a spar about 2km from the house which was easy to get supplies from and a butchery in town for meat cuts. It is so close to the Kurger gate, it made trips to the kruger so easy. This is such a great place to explore kruger from and the staff at the kruger gate were also very friendly.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely house. It offers four spacious bedrooms, perfect for families or groups who appreciate a bit of room to breathe. The layout is comfortable and well thought out. The location near the park was a big plus One of the standout features was definitely the waterhole in the garden, which added a peaceful, natural touch to the outdoor space. Above all, the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in smooth and the entire stay even more enjoyable. Overall: A spacious, well-located house with a very kind host. We would definitely stay here again!

That said, there were a few downsides that future guests might want to be aware of: Setting the alarm system in the house was a bit complicated and restrictive at times. The pool was cold, as it’s not heated — something to consider if you're coming outside of the hottest months. The road leading to the property was quite bumpy, which might be an issue for certain cars. Surprisingly, there was no orange juicer, even though fresh oranges are everywhere in the region — a small detail, but we missed it at breakfast. There was no information provided on how to use the kitchen appliances in the house, which made things a bit confusing at first. A Great Addition would be a baby bed + high chair, which would Life easier for families with small children.

They installed inverters, the power failed every 2 hours, but sent someone very quickly to resolve The water for shower or bathing was not very warm as it was set on timers and not neccessary when we were at the property, but was reset once asked.
