This wonderful Casita/Studio is located near to all the fun travel destinations that Southern California has to offer
yet is quiet, private and away from the crowds. Private entrance and a place to unwind and just enjoy the
beautiful and art-filled tropical gardens.
1 Queen Bed w/lovely linens for comfortable sleeping, a Flip Sofa for added sleeping space, Full bathroom and large walk in shower, Kitchenette with all the necessities.

PLEASE NOTE: We are 100% No Smoking/ Vaping/Drugs or Pets... if you can't abide by these rules, please don't choose to stay at our property.

This place is a quiet little gem. All you hear are the birds chirping outside. There was homemade banana bread in our room and cold water in the fridge after a very long drive from Phoenix.. their backyard is like an oasis in paradise. You can swing and listen to the trickle of their fountain while looking up at the palm trees.. you honestly could just have a private getaway without going to the beach. Even though the beach is only 15 minutes away.. The weather was perfect as well. The room was clean and comfy too. All the details were so thoughtful.. You have to check it out yourself.

There is one word to describe our visit at this Casita, enchanting! Now that is not a word usually associated with staying in a studio setting, and the more we describe our experience, I know you'll find yourself wondering if we're family members of the hosts, but I assure you we are not. In fact, with so many perfect previous reviews, we, frankly, were somewhat skeptical. We stay at 4-5 VRBO properties each year, and we've never seen such a long list of great reviews, but that is exactly how we will describe our visit. Before you even arrive, Nancy is the master of communication and a truly gracious hostess. She helped us with planning the perfect visit to the area, and we took advantage of every recommendation. Then when you finally do arrive, the private gate to the property opens the enchanting private multi-level backyard, full of flowers, shade, a fountain, and hummingbirds. Yes, hummingbirds everywhere! When we first heard about them, we were hoping that we might be lucky enough to see one or two. In fact, we saw them all the time, from dusk to dawn, flitting around the backyard and feeding at one of the many feeders located around the backyard. Truly amazing. The accommodations are first rate, with a great bed, lots of hot water, a very surprisingly well-stocked kitchenette, lots of books, (I guess if you tire of watching the hummingbirds), and nearly soundproof when you want it to be. Actually, we enjoyed leaving the screen door open and listening to the fountain!

The casita was a perfect little spot for my wife and I. The neighborhood is quiet, the location was ideal, the bed was very comfortable (softest sheets I’ve ever slept on), the kitchenette is well appointed with everything we needed, the shower felt wonderful and I especially enjoyed my morning coffee outside listening to and watching the hummingbirds banter about. Nancy and Jim are wonderful hosts and we appreciated being there at their casita. It’s definitely worth staying here.

This casita is lovely and the hosts have truly thought of everything. Towels and chairs for the beach. Wireless phone charger next to the bed. A binder with recommendations for local food and fun. Even a towel warmer within arm's reach of the shower. Check in and check out were so simple and easy. I highly recommend this host and we will be back next time we're in the area.

Our stay was restful. Nancy was responsive to my questions. The yard was like living in a private oasis. The Casita was clean, well supplied with so much. I was traveling alone on this stay and needed a one night solution before meeting up with a friend for a short road trip. Nancy’s Casita was ideal. I felt perfectly safe and enjoyed a quiet evening reading a book. The unit was clean and well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. I would book a return visit if ever staying in Vista again.

Everything that you could ever need or think of it was there. Nancy was a very lovely host who made the absolute most amazing banana nut bread! (The recipe is there too which is a plus). Even though it was just a one night stay my boyfriend and I made the most out of it and we had such a good time! We swung on the bench outside at night and enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness. La Casita is definitely going to be a place I’m excited to go back to to explore more of the city! Nancy and Jim have some AMAZING food recommendations as we went to Swami’s for breakfast and it was phenomenal! Overall amazing trip and that wouldn’t have happened without it feeling so much like home!

We came to visit the area for our anniversary and just wanted a quiet home base to explore the area from. Nancy was warm and kind and made us feel right at home when we arrived. The studio had everything we needed and you can tell that there’s a lot of love and care spent to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. We had a great time exploring the beaches, desert and mountains and Vista is such a cute town that we really never felt the need to go into San Diego. I was all very relaxing and we enjoyed our stay. We can’t recommend Casota high enough!

This was out fourth time staying at the Chapman's Casita and as usual, the stay was perfect. Nancy and Jim are awesome hosts who make their home feel like yours. The backyard is an oasis, and the location is perfect whether you are going to the beach, the mountains, or the desert. Highly recommended.

We travelled to Oceanside to attend a large wedding, with other venues over the four day period. Coming back each day to the peace and quiet of the Casita gave us a wonderful balance of acitivies and relaxation. I am so happy that we choose the Casita, away from all the hustle and bustle. The .privacy and lovely garden to ourselves was wonderful. Nancy was available if we needed anything, but otherwise gave us our space. We did have a few chats with her and she is a delightful hostess. The Casita is so well equipped and we enjoyed all the conveniences and extra touches and had everthing there that we needed. A wonderful stay and we would not hesitate for a return visit!

We arrived and unit was as advertised. Got back very late. Looking forward to sleeping in. Woken up at 8am on a Sunday to chainsaws literally outside our window.Palm trees were being trimmed less than 10 feet from us. Could not sit outside. The air was full of pollen and unhappy disrupted bugs!! Our car was covered in debris and we had to ask gardeners to move debris and vehicles in order for us to leave. We booked the room several months in advance. Had we known that we would be forced to get up and unable to go outside, we would have made other arrangements.
