Nice and roomy home. We did not get to enjoy the pool (not in season) but we did enjoy sitting out on the patio on a cool evening.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The home is large yet cozy and located in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Perfect for visiting local family and friends!

The home is located very close to SIU campus in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It is a good size, and has a lot of potential. We loved the basement. It was great for hanging out but evidently had not been swept or mopped since the previous guests and we would have been more comfortable if the soiled couch was not there. While the house has been updated, it is in need of many repairs and a very deep cleaning. It did not appear to have been swept or mopped between guests. The bathroom mats and mat leading to the outside were dirty, and matted down. The floors upstairs have started to be replaced, but the remaining carpet in the upstairs bedrooms are stained with what appears to be dog urine. (It is a pet friendly home.) Caulking throughout the bathrooms is dirty and the rusty vents do not present a clean environment. The back bedroom ceiling has major cracks and staining on the ceiling. The kitchen cabinets are filthy. The windows and screens throughout the home were filled with bugs, a coat of dirt, and spider eggs. We rented this house to host an Easter breakfast and spend time with our children over the holiday weekend. The weather was not suitable for sitting outside but if it were, we would not have been able to because the back patio was loaded with debris and the furniture was dirty and damaged. The umbrella was mildew stained. We had booked this home for parents weekend in October but after this visit, it has been canceled.
