About this house rental
With a short walk to the white sands of Sisters Beach, Tarkine Gates offers a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy with family and friends. Stay in and relax with a good book, listening to whispering wind through the trees or get to the beach for swimming, fishing or surfing. Enjoy a BBQ at the property or down at the park while the children run around and enjoy the play equipment or take advantage of the skate park.
Sisters Beach is nestled in the Rocky Cape National Park and makes Tarkine Gates the ideal base for the avid bush walker with a number of walks in the area.
Tarkine Gates offers a modern and stylish well appointed, single level, 3 bedroom home which can accommodate six people and has a fully equipped kitchen with ample room for entertaining inside and out. Access to the home entrance from the flat parking area is via a four step external staircase.
Access to the property is via an asphalt driveway which has a steep, short, ascending section which can cause bike racks or similar to strike the asphalt, depending on the vehicle's clearance, at the beginning ascent.
If you run short on supplies the Sisters Beach General Store is only a short walk away and offers dine in or takeaway meals, bottle shop, as well as general items. For a full shop the center of Wynyard is a 15 minute drive away and near by Boat Harbour has a number of well reviewed restaurants for you to try.
Tarkine Gates is a great place to base yourself if you intend to explore the delights of North West Tasmania.

This was a very lovely house, comfortable, clean and well kept. The location amongst the trees is delightful. Very quiet and relaxing. Our only negative was the shower head - two of us found it quite painful (literally) to stand under. Everything else was wonderful.

We stayed 2 nights and had a mixed experience. The inside of the house was clean, comfortable and spacious with modern appliances. However the yard is overgrown, with low visibility in the driveway and there were uncleared branches blocking the car park when we arrived. The worst part was the uncleaned, gross BBQ (mouldy and animal droppings). It took us an hour of cleaning to use it. The response from the host was delayed and disappointing. Sisters beach is a quiet getaway but we wouldn’t stay here again.
