Comfortable, clean, newly remodeled house south of Austin.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Bunkhouse. Comfortable and located in a very peaceful spot. Chip was quick to respond any time we needed anything. We will definitely stay again anytime we are in South Austin.

The pictures do not do this place justice. We love our stay. The house is clean and super comfortable. The location is also the best.

Not a single thing to complain about.. from the neighborhood (cool and convenient), the owner (came by to say hi and then was invisible the rest of the stay), to the home itself (clean, comfortable, inviting), this might be the best overall short-stay I've experienced.

The Bunkhouse was a piece of heaven for me. Perfect location, easy to get to and navigate around town. Chip and his wife were wonderful. It is where I will stay anytime I come back to Austin for work or pleasure. Thank you.

If I could give a rating of 10 I would. Perfectly located...near to Austin but feels like you’re in the country. Plenty of parking and the neighborhood is lovely. This unit has everything you need to make it your home away from home. Granddaughters, and Nana, loved the fenced in backyard. Will definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay here. This is a real house that I would want to live in, set in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Austin. The owner was responsive to my requests and made the check-in process so easy. All rooms are spacious an up-to-date. You get a full working kitchen and central air. Yay!

Love the southwest decor - right down to the horseshoe embroidered kitchen chairs.!!! Easy access to I 35 and close to a lot of stuff, including some great restaurants. We like it so much, we stay there whenever we come to Austin.!!!

There has never been a cowhand who had lodging so good as the "The Bunkhouse" in San Leanna. Chip and Vivian have created a magical cottage with modern standards and all the necessary appointments to make either a short or long term rental very comfortable. The Bunkhouse is on acreage surrounded by large Oaks and Cedar Elms supporting the wildlife of numerous birds, butterflies, a herd of deer along with the occasional gray fox that all visit daily.. Within a mile or two are several grocery stores and numerous restaurants. Take a short drive and you are in the trendy district of South Congress or across the Colorado River and in Downtown Austin at The Capitol and The University of Texas . Even north Austin and shopping at The Domain is within 30 minutes with SH 45 SW (Toll) and Loop 1(Mopac). You can wander the back roads to Wimberly or even closer is The Salt Lick and across the road the oldest continuous winery in Texas... Fall Creek Vineyards. The Bunkhouse is perfectly situated to enjoy so much of what this area has to offer. Or just sit quietly and enjoy the comfort of The Bunkhouse surrounded by the pasture of oaks and the Texas wildlife..

Great location! Nice, quiet neighborhood, but also close to everything. We enjoyed the peaceful backyard. House was spotless and well stocked with anything you might need. Chip and Vivian were fantastic hosts! Really enjoyed meeting them and conversing with them. Quick and easy communications.

I had a very nice stay here, the house had everything I needed and it was quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle of central Austin. Host had chilled wine even waiting me! Definitely will stay here again. Host was also very friendly and great communicator.

We came to visit our daughter in the Manchaca area for a week. The owners were so hospitable and the bunkhouse was a perfect size for a couple or small family; and located in a very quiet neighborhood. The various recommendations by the owners for eating out in the area were spot on! Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Kidd. We hope to see you again soon.

The Bunkhouse is cozy, super cute, and located in a tranquil neighborhood with a feeling that you are in the country while being close to everything in the city. Chip is a great host, and our experience was even better than we anticipated. This was our best Vrbo experience.

My wife and I stayed a week for a disc golf tournament in Austin. The bunk house was the highlight of the trip. Very cozy and private. The owner was nice and very helpful. If we are ever in the area we would stay there again.

The wife and I had a perfect stay at the Bunkhouse over F1 race weekend. Clean, cozy and just what we needed. Chip is an excellent host and goes out of his way to make your stay a good one. The house had everything we needed for our short stay and was sooo quiet at night. Thanks dude and cheers!

The property is well cared for and clean. We have stayed at this house every time we come to visit my son & his family in Austin. There are always great refreshments waiting for us in the frig. It's like a second home to us.

I was in town for my godson’s graduation celebration and the property owner happens to live across the street from his Aunt and Uncle. I was very pleased with it upon check in, very nicely stocked. The host was very nice and friendly , he came over and introduced himself and his wife told me if I needed anything to let them know . Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely rent again

This house looked even better in person than anticipated. Very roomy, clean, fully stocked kitchen. Chip was probably one of the best hosts I've had. I love that the house is in a private neighborhood, but not too out of the way from everything. I've already recommended this place to many of my friends and family. 10/10

Very comfortable place. We had a toddler with us and he enjoyed having space to play. Kitchen had everything we needed. Very clean.
