About this cabin rental

Your home away from home awaits you in the Tahoe Donner community in Truckee. Our cozy cabin offers three bedrooms and a loft with queen foldout. The upstairs main bedroom has a king bed with attached full bathroom (shower). There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with queen bed and the other with one twin and a twin/over double bunk bed, and a 2nd full bathroom (shower over tub) down the hall. Washer/dryer and linens included. The house features a well-equipped kitchen, secluded back deck with gas BBQ, and an attached garage with a 240v EV charging plug (bring your charging cord). The living room has a wood burning stove and flat-screen TV with Chrome cast and cable. Upstairs there is a small flat screen TV in the bedroom and a monitor screen in the loft. That one is not attached to cable, but can be connected to a laptop or game console. HDMI cable attached. A flat driveway and strong WiFi internet complete the easy living atmosphere. The rental includes guest access (up to 6 people) to the community centers, pool, hot tub, clubhouse and fitness areas for a $24 daily fee. Golf or hike in summer or try boating on the lakes. Enjoy downhill and cross country ski areas in winter. 5 mins from Donner Lake, 20 mins from Alpine and Palisades ski areas, 40 mins from Lake Tahoe activities. Pets allowed, but due to allergies please no cats.

This adorable place is on one of the quietest streets in Tahoe Donner. The cabin is cozy, comfortable, and had all the basic necessities to stay 5 days with weather varying from below freezing (LOTS of snow still on the ground!) to almost shorts weather. Hosts were fast with communication, check in was a breeze... a definite keeper for future stays!

First let me say Lisa the host was amazing and very easy to communicate with. She responded to all messages in a timely manner and always tried to offer solutions. Examples of this is the first day we got there the door leading from the garage to the house would not close. Possibly due to the cold and/or heat the door warped and also needed new screws in the bottom hinge. I let her know, sent her pictures and she advised someone would be there in 2 days. As for cleanliness I assume they use a cleaning service and if so I would use a different company because they are not cleaning thoroughly to say this is a space where people will be coming and going frequently. On the surface the house appeared clean but areas like the kitchen and specifically the refrigerator and the stove needed a detailed cleaning. The refrigerator made this very loud noise all the time, especially the freezer and the stove eyes were all crooked making it hard to cook things evenly as all pots and pans were on a slant. The upstairs bathroom sink drained so slow that if you washed your hands in the morning the water would still be there by noon. There were not a lot of face towels either. I had to go buy a few as it was 6 of us and they only had about 3 or so that we saw. The recycling is on a week on week off schedule which I had to visit a website to determine and it was not our week so the recycling bin was already full when we got there so we had to leave a bag of recycling in the garage as it would

We stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was cozy and perfect size for four adults, 2 kids (a teenager and pre-teen) and our dog. Great location and would recommend especially if traveling with a pet.

We had a great time at this cabin in Tahoe Donner. The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location was perfect – peaceful and close to all the activities. We loved relaxing on the deck in the mornings and coming back to the comfy beds and fireplace after a day of exploring. The cabin had nice touches that made our stay even better. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

We had a great time. First of all the price was right. The space was enough for 5-6 of us. All of the appliances worked as expected. The house inside was reasonably clean (some cat spray on the upstairs bedroom wall) and comfortable. The garage space was useful to store our bikes between rides. We enjoyed the deck area and the BBQ worked as expected. The TV was great and the attachment cords assisted with media connection. Restrooms works as expected. Towels were soft and sufficient. We are all used to firmer mattresses, but sleep was achieved and rest was acquired. We should have brought our own pillows like we usually do. We did run out of paper towels in the kitchen, there was only one partial roll. We did use the washer and drier. The drier lint filter had not been cleaned possibly EVER, I have a picture of what I removed when I discovered the clothes were not getting dry. There is a deck screw sticking up about an inch right next to the snow grate at the front door. I am sure glad no-one snagged their foot on it. I mention these two items more for your information than complaint. We would definitely stay at this house again. It was fairly close to the lake, MTB riding, hiking, and services like Safeway and Grocery Outlet. The neighborhood was upscale clean and very quiet. The residents were friendly, as we found while taking evening walks with our dog. There was no sign it was a pet friendly house, except, cat spray. No smell, or fur balls.

We spent 5 days at Lisa and John's cabin in Tahoe Donner. The cabin is cozy, centrally located, and well-stocked. Both Lisa and John are super nice hosts and so easy to work with. There's a lot to do, whether you want to relax or be active, and everything is close by. I'm not sure if I should share all these positives about the cabin or keep it all to ourselves! 😄 We'll definitely be back!

The house was clean and very “homey”. My family had a great time. The kids played in the snow and even built a snowman. The owers were very responsive and even called the plumber right away to fix the kitchen faucet. Overall, we had a great experience. Definitely recommend this place!!

We enjoyed our stay. The living room is very comfy and the dining table was nice too. Good TV coverage and setup for device streaming. The house was warm and cozy, heater was good, and woodstove was a nice touch with plenty of firewood supplied (bring kindling or use hatchet to make kindling.) The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The bunk room was perfect for all the boys, while the teen girl had the loft to herself. The beds are made with no blankets, only spreads, and one must search out the blankets in various closets. The kitchen is a bit disorganized but if you search through cupboards and drawers, you are likely to find what you need. There are no wine glasses, so if you want to enjoy your fine wine, bring your own glasses. The bathrooms are nice, recently upgraded. Good showers. It was a big plus to have the garage to park in. Thanks, Fleming Family, for providing a cozy affordable place to stay.

This is a great place to stay if you want a quiet family setting. It was like being at home. The best thing is hard to pick out for me, but I am going to highlight the responsiveness of the hosts! Every text was answered within a couple of hours. For instance this home has a great wood burning stove and we like to have a fire going. We ran low on wood during the stay and it was promptly resupplied by their local fire wood guy! Super hosts John & Lisa!

The location was nice as the exit onto the street is flat and easy to negotiate in the snow. We were informed of maintenance issues and we were able to work around these without any problem. We really enjoyed our stay! The house has a great layout, with room in the driveway for cars (no need to park on the street), a lot of beds, and a nice great room for everyone to be together. Our group of 6 adults & 1 dog enjoyed a very happy Thanksgiving in this house. It is roomier than it appears, and we could have easily had 2 more people. The house is a little dated but it has a good floorplan with lots of amenities, and the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes and cookware (which was much appreciated by our group of dedicated cooks). Our only problem was with the electric stove - two of the burners were not working but we were able to produce a big meal with a little maneuvering. I expect plans are in the works to repair or replace the stove. Other than that we had a great time!

John and Liza are amazing hosts - checkin, communication, welcomeness, etc. The cabin is well located, clean, and has it’s mountain cozy feel. The kitchen is well stocked (separate thank you for the waffle maker). Our family will come back for sure!
