About this house rental
Dating back several centuries, our luxury gîtes are set in beautiful, secluded gardens around a large enclosed swimming pool, providing the perfect setting for couples, families or large group holidays.
On the ground floor of this gîte you'll find a well-equipped kitchen, comfy sofas and dining area all served with views of the surrounding countryside. Upstairs are two generous sized double bedrooms with adjoining bathroom and there is a double sofa bed in the lounge.
There is a large family bathroom on the first floor with separate shower and bath. WC on ground floor.
The doors open out to a gorgeous, south-facing terrace that overlooks the swimming pool. The terrace is covered with fragrant roses and trailing kiwi fruit plants, which provide ample shade from the sun. Next to the terrace is a sheltered outdoor kitchen, perfect for those long summer evenings.
Easy access to Carcassonne and Toulouse
Gîtes de Montcabirol is handily located a few minutes by car from Mirepoix. This lively, colourful town is truly enchanting with its central square surrounded by medieval houses, covered walkways, weekly market, numerous shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Mirepoix also provides easy access to Foix, Pamiers, the Pyrénées and the fast roads to Carcassonne, Toulouse and the Mediterranean resorts of Narbonne and Beziers.
A great base to visit top attractions and be active
You can choose to do as little or as much when you stay at Montcabirol. Whether you want to start exploring straight away or simply sit by the pool, unwind and take in the beautiful views, you won’t be disappointed.

We could not have had a better stay in this charming French gite. From Katie’s wonderful communication about the house and her recommendations for things to do in the area, to the pristine upkeep of the rental home and pool, to all the marvelous sights to see…our family thoroughly enjoyed our French vacation.

Nous avons passé 5 nuits à la Bastide de Bousignac
nos hôtes étaient supers sympas, le logement quoique assez rustique était propre et en très bon état. La maison était grande bien entretenue, agréable à vivre et la piscine était superbe. Je le conseil à tous nous y retournerions sans problème.

Good location five minutes from Mirepoix with its huge market and cafes. The surroundings are truly rural in the hills amongst woods. The house is basic with limited sound insulation between all rooms which we all found entertaining! The first floor bedrooms were both attractive and simply furnished. The kitchen was well equipped and the covered area with a bbq was great to use in the evenings, as was the newly refurbed pool. Overall an enjoyable stay thank you.
