Modest, but not at level you would expect from Member of Design hotels

Id book again in a heartbeat!

The penthouse was amazing, lift went straight into the apartment and was so spacious! Perfect for 4 people and maybe even more. Price was fantastic for the location and the place itself, it exceeded expectations. Central location right next to the old town and bars and restaurants. Staff were lovely and allowed us to check in early with no additional cost. Cafe downstairs is chic and modern and adds to the property. can't wait to book again!

Lift didn't work on arrival but it was sorted for the rest of the stay. Mini bar prices a little expensive but that's across any city.

Nice place to stay at, clean comfortable bed and slightly upmarket quality. I prefer it to a larger hotel chain. Service was great and room was very spacious. I really loved the low dim lights for the room. I took a room which faces inside since I am bit sensitive to road noise. Was a good choice.

I like hotels which implement a policy without shoes in the room.

This hotel was a cosy little gem. The place has a magical patio, restaurant and a coffee place. Anyhing you may need is already on your doorstep. The room was spacious and had tastefully chosen decorations.

Disappointed

Beautiful building and courtyard. Location excellent and staff helpful

The room was not okay. Don’t know who has done the interior design, but lacks beauty and functionality. At the entrance it is so dark that you need to use the flash of your phone to adjust the thermostat. Nice couch to watch tv, but if you want to read the lighting is insufficient. Nice looking bath, but totally impractical- can’t even put your knees below the water. Bedtables are lower than the bed and do the lights are too. Cannot be used as bed lights. Finally lots of electronics to open and close windows but did not work properly. Expensive renovation with serious loss of functionality. Good also to know that there are no elevators. So for luggage and for people who are not so mobile an issue.

Small design hotel with peaceful inner court. Unique design features. Aesthetically pleasing.

Pillows not comfortable, no notepad in room, no trash bin in kitchen area, noisy at night (motorcycles), no door that separates the toilet from the room (unacceptable)!! Shower faucet oddly placed out of the shower, no shelf in shower to place shampoo and soap, bad lighting (difficult to control and customize), abrasive bathroom towels. The design has not be tried and tested!

Very nice boutique design hotel. The designer did a good job, however it is missing practicality. You couldn't close bathroom /toilette door, coffee machine plashed coffee all over the place, lots of necessary details are missing, starting from the towel holder... Will be a great place once the homework is done. For now, the hotel is not worth the price they are asking for...

more museum than hotel the windows can’t be opened dark corridor with hangers , no wardrobe the restaurant is an disaster! the waitresses forget our order, after one hour we asked, reordered and they bring the starters, we repeat again the main and after another hour nobody can’t tell us shall we receive it or no. zero service without any attention to the client, at the same time we drink one of the most expensive wine in the list this is the worst dinner experience in my life!

upsetting and disappointing

courtyard

- glass doors separating bathroom from living room were broken, they were unhinged—a problem that had existed for some time, as previous occupants had tried to fix this with the result of damaging the glass - sliding glass doors do not provide sufficient privacy in toilet. people from the courtyard can also see the toilet area. - bathroom lighting reflects in such way that you cannot see yourself in the mirror. - Wi-Fi did not work in bedroom area. it was slow in the living area. - we had dinner in the restaurant , and the meat was bad, so that we had to return the food. - we got a 10-minute explanation by staff of the coffee machine, even though we indicated we did not want to make coffee. it seemed too complicated. - many other tiny things: all on all a bad experience, unfortunately, especially considering the price we paid for it.

design over function. ambient lighting but impossible to see anything in bathroom mirror, or any other mirror due to unfunctional designer lighting. bye bye make-up or hairdressing. same for working table: this was a dark spot. unpractical gadgets like coffee machine. is there a guest that actually manages to make real coffee with this apparatus?

Won't be returning.

We stayed in the Hayloft for our stay. I thought this Hotel was very over priced. I was looking forward to the 'surprise' that was promised in our room ...after hunting around and finding nothing out of the ordinary we asked at reception and was told that the 'surprise' was a magazine. There was no magazine. At nearly £300 per night for 2 nights was expecting a bottle of fizz! Also, the fresh fruit promised was about 15 grapes on the counter top, not even in a bowl. Disapointed. The lighting in the bathroom is rubbish.
