Everything was perfect with the exception of the AC. It was fine in the mornings but for the rest of the day and night it was high 70s, low 80s which was unbearable at times. The fans help, and we even kept the shutters down during the day, but it was still hot most of the time. The house otherwise was great- kid friendly, amazing location, had everything we needed. I would recommend to anyone looking for a fun beach getaway especially for little kids. Easy access to a great beach area! We had a great time making memories :)

Dirty towels left from pervious renters, huge cockroach in the kitchen utensil drawer, dirty pans and dishes in the cupboards and the countertop stools & accent chair were filthy with stains🤮. Contacted management about the roach, dirty dishes and dirty towels, and that there weren't enough clean ones for my family and was told it would be passed along to local team, but nothing was done.

This in NO way reflects the host, however, previous renters and future renters should respect the areas they stay. My wife spent a majority of the time being concerned as there was a used razor blade in the shower, our 8 yr old stepped on (thank goodness it was face down), broken and shattered coffee pot covered in mold, trash in the bin, under the liner and scattered around the yard. The dishwasher was moldy and had dishes in cupboards had food and coffee on them. While enjoying the patio and hammock, ambushed by yard crew. (Daughter’s asthmatic so that was very concerning). We located our toilet paper on the balcony ha ha (not a big deal, kinda funny!) The beach house was beautiful and the area very peaceful. We would love rent again and have nothing negative about the house or area. The tenants need to be more respectful and considerate about the owners property. We did clean the yard, washed out the trash bin, discarded the broken glass and purchased dishwasher cleaner so the next guest could enjoy to the best of their ability. It really is beautiful

The house was clean, and the amenities were great. We would not stay again because there is no dryer. With kids needing dry swim suits, towels, clothes, etc., it was inconvenient to hang dry outside (plus only half of the clips worked). We don’t want to have to spend time at the laundromat on vacation. If doing laundry isn’t a concern for you, then it’s a great house! Also, we had a delay in getting a hold of the property manager. It took over 3 hours for assistance upon checking in, and we felt that was too long.

Great location and beach views… Neighborhood is quiet and there’s plenty of privacy… Overall, a very good experience… It’s just the little things that could’ve made it so much better… Master bedroom, sliding door didn’t work… No hot water in the half bath… No hot water in the kitchen…. No one instructions on where the washer and dryer were… Also dryer didn’t work… Front door lock was very temperamental… And finally, several of the windows were covered by the outdoor security blinds, and we couldn’t see out of them… Somebody paying attention to all these little things would make it a five star top notch rental

Our family of 4 stayed at this adorable beach house over the July 4th holiday weekend. We really enjoyed the house and it was a perfect size for us! It had everything you could possibly need as far as furnishings and in the kitchen, as well as a plethora of beach items like toys and boogie boards. It was located so conveniently, both to the beach and to town. We liked that it was far enough away from town to not be in the mix of the business of the holiday traffic, but also close enough we could be in town in 15-20 minutes to go eat or do things. As far as getting to the beach, a quick 1-minute walk (at the very most) and you were on it! We would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a quiet beach stay!

This was the perfect little getaway retreat! The view was stunning. WE enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. It is a 15 minute drive to all the happenings in Galveston. We loved that though! We also were there in November so it was pretty quiet. The fact that you have no obstruction view was amazing. Only thing I did not like is they had no mugs.. I know weird but I am a tea drinker and did missed that. We would defiantly book it again. It would be great for a family too. We walked the beaches every day.

Our stay at this vacation rental was simply wonderful! The location was ideal, offering easy access to all the attractions we wanted to visit. Hello! We stayed here for two nights before a cruise. We got in super late the first night so we only had a little more than 24 hours to really enjoy the property. The property is lovey and I a cute little community. The coffee shop a few miles down the road is amazing, but there’s really not much else around. The beach in front of the house was wonderful and clean. We were generally the only people there. The house doesn’t come with a ton of extra items like a dustpan but it suited out family just fine. In reality, I wish we had more days to enjoy this home! Management was super responsive and ready to help.

This house was PERFECT! It had everything we could ever need and more! It was clean and the beach access was the best of any house we have previously stayed. The keyless entry and outdoor shower was a wonderful amenity after Long Beach days. We are already looking to book again next year!

Went to Galveston for some R&R and beach time. Pros: Location! Even though the house is second row, there is no house in front of it so you have direct gulf views (there is a large cable in that view, but it isn't a deal breaker). The house is on a great beach and close driving distance to town. The decor was cute and beachy. The house was clean except the shower (but we re-cleaned it and it was fine). The beds were very comfortable. It had a large patio, living room and kitchen. Cons: Although the house is super cute, it could use some maintenance - especially the soft spots in the floors that has cracked the laminate flooring and the bathrooms need an update. There is a full bath and a half bath. Both are small. For just hanging at the beach that is fine, but if you need to get ready for an evening out or an event it's a little difficult as the bathrooms only have pedestal sinks and no space for makeup, toiletries, etc. All the kitchen items in the cabinets need to be re-cleaned and streamlined. It's a huge mishmash of dishes. Although we didn't use them, there is a washer and dryer downstairs. There is central a/c and a ductless a/c has been added which was quite chilly. This house is good for couples or a family with 1-4 kids. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would possibly rent this house again.

We stayed for one week. The location is awesome, the house is older. What really bothers me is the floor, because I’m a senior citizen I had too maneuver when I exit the main bedroom. In the beginning I almost tripped a couple of times. It’s a very big issue. The other thing is the house has to get sprayed for bugs. I encountered some very big cockroaches. If these problems would be fixed this a very nice property, it is older. There was no hot water in the kitchen sink and we couldn’t turn on the dishwasher. The location was perfect.

We stayed in August with 3 adults and had a lovely stay. The living area is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is large and reasonably well stocked. The master bedroom has a nice king size bed with a tempurpedic mattress, the other bedroom is a bit cramped with a queen size bed and twin-size bunks, but the beds are all very comfortable. The living area has 2 sofas that can be turned into beds. I would not recommend staying here with more than 6 people, though, as the dining table and kitchenware are not really sufficient for larger groups. The air-conditioning did not keep the house very cool. With outdoor temperatures around 95, the indoor temperature would not go below 80, and that with all bedroom blinds closed, as well as the living area ones, apart from the main window. For us this was not a very big issue, but that's not the same for everyone. All in all we had a great stay and would happily come back.

The view was perfect, just as shown in the pictures online. Access to the beach was just a short walk. Beach was very secluded and private, at least on the dates we went from September 5th -7th which is after busy season. The inside of the house was very cute and had beach themed decor. Although the house looked exactly like the pictures there were some cosmetic problems. The main one being soft spots in the flooring throughout the house. The was a big crack in the floor in the entrance to the main bedroom where the soft spot broke. The was also a dirty hot pad left in one of the kitchen drawers and the windows in the living were really dirty. There were no trash bags to replace the ones we used throughout our stay so we had to use some grocery bags I’d saved. Also, the air conditioner never got below 81 even though it was set to 72 which made it rather hot in there after being out in the sun all day. I would have to say the beds were very comfortable and clean. The house overall was nice just needs the flooring fixed mainly. The view was my favorite thing about the property!

The house is close to the beach and very beautifully decorated, with a cable line obstructing the beach view from the balcony area, but you can still see the beach. There were a few issues during our stay. Upon arrival the air conditioning and refrigerator appeared to not be cooling. After the sun went down the air conditioner started to cool during the night but did not stay cool, 70’s at night and upper 80’s during the day. The refrigerator would not cool for 3 days, as if it had been turned off. It had an issue due to the code flashing at the top. This went on throughout our stay, even after reporting on all the issues. There were cooking utensils, along with limited silverware and plastic cups provided. There were only three spoons and two plastic cups provided in the cabinet. In the master bedroom the electricity was not working along with the patio lights in the parking area. Another issue reported was the floor. Numerous spots as you walked around the house appeared to sink as if the underneath the flooring was rotted, or the floating floor particle board was broken in several areas. It felt as if you were going to fall through those areas that were cracking or sinking. A laundry room that was located downstairs which had molding/musty smell and no laundry soap. A call was made to management prior to arrival about beach chairs. We were told that there were several beach chairs for us to use during our stay. We loved the location of this property and the comforts it provided. My only issue was that the cleaning of the shower and floors was subpar. The shower has old sand and dirt all around the bottom. The floors were sticky and left a residue on our feet. There were also ants at one point but I rained pretty heavily on us for a few days. All in all, I would stay here again!

This beach home was perfect for my family. The home itself is small but cozy with cute beach theme decorations. It’s stocked with plenty of cooking ware and dishes, towels, and beach toys. The beds were comfortable with soft and clean sheets. The view from the living area and patio is spectacular with clear view of the ocean. There is a shower on the bottom patio to wash off the sand before entering the home, which came in handy. A picnic table is on the lower patio which was perfect for getting our fishing stuff ready and storing tackle boxes away from the living areas. Our mid size suv fit perfectly in the parking under the home and protected it from a hail storm! The cons: you may need to spend 30 mins sanitizing/cleaning the tables, fridge, and couches after arriving. There was some crumbs and smears which bothered my husband and brother, but I like to sanitize anyways so I took care of it. There wasn’t any dish soap or cleaning products to use during our stay so cleaning after ourselves was tricky but I managed. And lastly, the 2 restrooms are tiny and hard to maneuver. Not too big of a deal but if you’re handicapped this might be an issue. Over all our stay was wonderful and I would recommend this home.

This is a great little beach house with a wonderful view of the ocean, it's roomy, well furnished and well stocked with all the essentials and the beds are very comfortable. Unfortunately the outdoor storm shutter over the master bedroom patio doors was broken and could not be opened, so no view from that room, disappointing but still a great house over all. And just a note to the property manager, we did see a couple of bugs inside. You may want to exterminate soon.

Overall very nice property; extremely clean! Perfect for my family of five. We had enough plates, utensils, etc. for dining at the house. Beds were very comfortable. Beautiful sunrise and sunset from the living room. Very quiet area- this place was a few miles down from the main drag in Galveston; the beach area wasn’t crowded at all. We had a really great time!

The location of the house is perfect! Close enough to the downtown/sea wall area but far enough to be quiet and much less traffic. There are a few things that the property manager should be able to fix…toaster handle broken off, BBQ on site was filthy (food still sitting in there), a couple pillows were missing pillow cases, hodgepodge of cookware. Excellent in fridge door ice dispenser! This place has a beautiful open living room kitchen with ocean views! Bathrooms are small. Deck area is spacious with lots of seating. This property only has streaming TV (remote situation is tricky) so no local news or weather. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Galveston!

I have requested a refund for 12/24/22 due to the fact you can't legally charge rent for a house without plumbing. I have received no reply & am very disappointed with VRBO.
