My 3-year-old son and I stayed here for a bit visiting family. Maria was extremely accommodating and communicative and the place was very nice -- exactly as advertised. The house is in a lovely part of Mill Valley, within 1 block of a playground, walking distance to downtown and several blocks from great restaurants and Whole Foods. If you want a family-friendly, more walkable stay in Mill Valley, I highly recommend it!

Beautifully designed space, inside and out. Walk to Whole Foods; park next door for the kiddos. Only reason it gets 4 instead of 5 stars is that the shower temperatures are irradic.

My son, his two children, ages 7 and 5, and I and my husband spent just over a week at Maria's. While there is only one bedroom, there are two spacious beds in the one bedroom, which more than accommodated my son and his kids, and the futon in the living room transitioned easily into a bed, and was comfortable. The kitchen was supplied with the amenities, and Maria, who lives in the back house on the property, brought us a fan and some other things that we requested, and having one of the driveway parking spaces also made it convenient. Though Sycamore is a somewhat busy street, it was quiet at night, and the location of the apartment was quite convenient to nearby towns, like Sausalito. Also, there are some good restaurants, like Sol Food, within walking distance. The nearby park, just across the street from the house, was wonderful--each day we spent some time there with the kids, they meeting other kids playing there, so a good time was had by all. While there is no television in the house, the Wifi signal worked well, so my son was able to work remotely without any problem and the kids were able to take a break from their outside play to look at their screens. The house is nicely decorated, compact and complete with bedding, towels, and kitchen items, and the surrounding small yard and back patio are delightfully decorated with a variety of plants and flowers. I would recommend this house for families due it's proximity to the park, and because of its overall comfort. Maria quickly responded to our questions about the place and about the area, and is a good hostess. Thanks for a lovely time in Marin, Maria.
