There is a large spacious, pecan tree shaded yard, perfect for a back yard BBQ or just to sit and relax in the shade and listen to the water roll over the rocks of the river. Jackaroo River Cottage is just minutes from downtown, making a perfect location for quick trips to town, or to enjoy a day shopping the square.

The property was as described, and we liked the proximity to Wimberly and that it was on the Blanco River. We saw deer, a fox and racoons. The AC was cool enough, but the air did not seem to move thru the house adequately, so we bought an oscillating fan.

The pictures don’t show how cute the interior is. I am mobility impaired and it was easy to get around. It’s charming.The water is a bit far for me and the level of silt made it pretty unsuitable - but that is just the natural world : )We briefly met the owner and she was friendly and helpful.We enjoyed our stay.
