If you don't mind driving a little further, other great places to explore are the Out of Africa Wildlife Park, the old mining town of Jerome, Slide Rock State Park, the historic West Fork Trail, and the Page Springs vineyards and wine country.
Only a 2 hour drive northwest to the Grand Canyon and 51 minutes to historic Flagstaff via the I-17, or you can take the more scenic route through uptown Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon---a gorgeous ride with breathtaking scenery.
If you like golf, there are 3 excellent courses right down the road from our home. Just drive north toward the main part of Sedona and you will see them.

This home was an absolute breath of fresh air. It was exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained, and felt both modern and comfortable—stylish without feeling cold or impersonal. The space was quiet and relaxing, which made it perfect for our stay.We booked just one night in advance, and the host reached out almost immediately. He took the time to connect with us, ask a few thoughtful questions, and make sure the home would be a good fit. It was clear he genuinely cares about his property and the experience of his guests.Everything about our stay felt intentional and well cared for. The home was UBER spotless, well-prepared, and exactly as described—if not better.This ended up being such a positive and much-needed experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-managed place to stay.

I have used vacation rentals all over the country for years, and this was, by far, my best experience. The property was extremely clean, accessible and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. But, the icing on the cake was the property manager, Lance. Like all good hosts and managers I’ve worked with, he was attentive and sent us a lot of great information both prior to and during our visit. And the home instructions were clear an helpful. But, what really made Lance a cut above was the help he rendered after I had a dental emergency while hiking on our first day. Not only did he find a dentist who could handle an emergency on a Friday afternoon, but he contacted the dentist and arranged for my appointment and checked in with me frequently to see how I was doing. He went far above and beyond, and his stellar approach to client service distinguishes this property across the board. If you want a stellar experience in Sedona, rent this property. Thank you, Lance!

I will preface this by saying, this house and the views are GORGEOUS. The house is located about a mile from a adorable little plaza with a few restaurants and ice cream shops. Its only a few moment drive to Bell Rock, and about 10 mins from downtown Sedona. The views, modern amenities and prime location make this a wonderful vacation rental and we would absolutely stay here again so my next comments are only intended as constructive feedback for the owner. The kitchen lacked a few necessities. For example there is a standard coffee maker (not a Keurig) which is preferred for us, but no coffee grinder for beans nor correct coffee filters. Also wish there had been basic ketchup/mustard/ziplock bags etc.
The host was very nice, but he called and texted multiple times requesting to give us a tour of the home. We have stayed at a lot of VRBO's and I understand an initial phone call saying "if you need anything let us know" but I did find it off putting to receive multiple requests. Some guests like the full white glove experience and others just want to be on their own (we are the latter).
