Hostal Pio Centro

Brilliant location, big comfortable room, view from balcony

We didn't realise that the accommodation had steps and lifts only went to the mezzanine. Not much of a problem for us at that time, but with heavy cases or if having issues with mobility this might be a problem

It was a clean little room. it was decently equipped with the minimum.

the pictures on booking were misleading. the room was very small, the windows were looking right into the building behind and we couldn't leave them opened . the whole floor had very strong smells of different perfumes. so did the room. the location was in a very busy road in the centre of Madrid very close to Plaza del Sol where all sorts of demonstrations were taking place. there was no place in the building to leave luggages and we had to walk through busy streets to find the other building which probably belonged to the same company.

Perfect location. Close to a metro line that is accessible to all parts of Madrid. Lots of restaurants, shops and places of interest in walking distance.

Not easy to take up luggage as the lift is between floors and you will have to carry luggage.

Nearby the hotel a lot of shops

In order to reach room, we need to climb up to the lift level, after reach our level, need to climb down to the room, we feel very troublesome
