About this house rental
Welcome to your vacation villa in Rotonda West, Florida. Rotonda is on the southwest coast of Florida in an area known as Cape Haze. This is a deed-restricted community with twenty six miles of canals, ponds and lakes. The nature lover in you will enjoy your villa’s setting on one of Rotonda’s many ponds, which support an abundant of wildlife, including bobcats, coyotes, racoons, osprey, egrets, and other birds. To complement the tranquility of the pond, this attractively-landscaped villa is on a quiet side street, off the main roads. There are walking trails, tennis courts with pickleball nets, and a playground for children in the nearby Rotonda Community Park. Rotonda West offers 5 golf courses of different difficulties, and there are many more courses in the surrounding communities. There are numerous other nearby venues with tennis, pickleball, basketball, and baseball facilities. Within 15 miles, there are dozens of hiking trails in the Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park, Myakka River State Forest, and several other nature preserves. The Englewood city beach with some free parking is only a 20 minute drive away, while the Don Pedro Island State Park entrance is only 12 minutes away. Winn-Dixie is 3 miles; Publix is 7 miles; Walmart and Home Depot are 5 miles.
Your villa provides luxurious indoor and outdoor living. The master bedroom, living room, dining room and one guest bedroom have sliding glass doors that provide a sweeping view of oak, pine and palm forest surrounding the pond as well as easy access to the expansive, fully-screened lanai and pool area. Watch egrets come in to roost as you enjoy beautiful Florida sunsets across the pond. The doors and screened windows can be opened to provide wonderful cross ventilation of the Florida breezes while avoiding mosquitoes. The villa is fully air-conditioned with electric central heating for the rare cold days. The pool area has tables, gas grill, and other furniture for dining, snacking, playing cards, or just relaxing in the sun. The pool can be heated by a solar heater and further heated by an electric heat pump.
The Master suite has a king-sized bed, bedside lights, tables and chairs, ceiling fan and light, bureau, tv, clock radio ,and his and her walk-in closets. Lots of book shelves provide easy storage. The attached master bath has an easy step-in shower, his and her sinks, and a separate lighted vanity area with mirror. The toilet area is separate from the bath area. All bed and bath linens and hair dryer are provided.
One guest room has a queen-sized bed, and the second guest room has twin beds. Each room has its own ceiling fan and light, bedside table, and screened windows. Each room has a bureau and big closet. The guest bath has a walk-in shower, sink and toilet. All bed linens and towel sets are furnished, including towels for the swimming pool and the beach.
The living room has comfy couches, overhead light and fan, a large screen television, and adjoining area with a game table and chairs. Internet access and cable tv are provided. Plenty of book shelves line one wall and hold books and games for your entertainment. The dining room table has ample room to seat six comfortably, and eight people with an available leaf. You can eat your meals while enjoying the views of the pond.
The kitchen has all up-to-date appliances: refrigerator with a bottom pullout freezer, gas range, electric oven, microwave, and dishwasher. A spacious pantry unit provides storage for food, while a separate unit holds dishes. The kitchen is completely furnished with everything from crock pot to coffee pot, blender to mixer, and complete cooking utensils. Place mats, cloth napkins, tea towels and kitchen hand towels are neatly tucked in kitchen drawers for ready use. There is a complete set of cookware and sets of dishes and eating utensils for eight.
As you pass through the kitchen to the garage, you can see the washer and dryer, along with another pantry area for cleaning supplies and other miscellaneous storage. The spacious two-car garage will comfortably house your car, has an electric door opener, and holds beach furniture, such as chairs, umbrellas, etc.

We have stayed in this villa before and loved it, and this time it was just as wonderful. The pool area is very important to us as we like peace and tranquility and this villa has it all

We spent a magical 3 weeks last year and left wanting more.Luckily we managed to book the same period again this year and added a few days.The wearher was excellent, not surprising this is Florida in April/May.The view from the property still provides the WOW factor and luckily the Hurricanes of 2024 don't seem to have had any affect. The heated pool is always beckoning especially in late afternoon when the heat of the day is cooling. There's plenty to do within a car drive and the food in the restaurants is excellent and reasonably priced.The property managers are very friendly and go out of there way to help.Will we be returning for a third time? There's a good chance.

The place was clean, well stocked, was beautifulinside and in a nice neighborhood. It was 22 minutes to Englewood beach and 30 minutes to Gasparilla beach. The pool was big, had a deep end and was nicely heated to 85 degrees and one day it was 90 degrees. We would love to come back to this rental. Beds were comfortable and everything was extremely clean. Our family had a blast and we had kids ranging from 4-13 who enjoyed their stay tremendously. They had Netflix on their tv which was nice and a few board games.
